Request for more evidence :(

We have been asked to provide more evidence that we are a couple. I sent in what I thought they had asked for and what would be enough. Has anyone got any suggestions for things we can send in? Also does this now mean that we will be out to the back of the list again?!? We got out NAO1 for CSC in September, and now to get this is a real kick in the teeth

More evidence that you are a couple? Was that the wording on the letter? Did they offer suggestions of things you could send in that they consider acceptable proof?

you can send pictures from the beginning of your relationship till now (maybe in front of famous sigts or public parties, pics with dates on them), plane tickets where you visited each other, vacations where you shared a hotel room and you can see it on the invoice, shared bank account, whatever you bought together, skype/messenger,... cellphone texts where they can see that you talked very often, letters that you wrote each other? You can always blacken important things of course a letter where people describe how you are as a couple, how you met, when you met,...

you wont go to the back of the list, as soon as they get your response they should look into it straight away, from what I've seen on here approvals come quite fast, upon sending satisfactory evidence.

What did you send with your original petition?

Btw you only need to prove you that met in peson in the last 2 years not that you are a couple.

Please put the entire text of the RFE here, because "proving that you are a couple" is not a thing they ask for. It seems to many of us that you are misunderstanding it.

Maybe you can tell us what you have sent with the application, that way we might be able to point out what is missing?

I will copy and paste in the exact wording when I'm back at my computer. But with our application I sent in aeroplane tickets to prove I went out to visit him and when he came here. A letter from my father that mike did come over and stayed with me for 4 months. I sent in screenshots of our facebooks to show messages, pictures of us both. And receipts of hotel rooms we stayed in. Day trips we both went on and receipts of this I bought him for his birthday and other celebrations.

Ill put the wording up as soon as I can. Thank you all for your comments so far. I really appreciate it!

Definatelly would be good to hear what the letter says as boarding passes, hotel room booking and pictures should be ok for uk applicant i think.

But if it will ineed be RFE for proof of meeting in last 2 years then photocopy of your fiance's passport showing entry stamps to UK, statements showing cash withdrawals for him in UK or yours in US will definatelly be on the list.

But the OP said 'plane tickets' not 'boarding passes'. Plane tickets do not absolutely prove you made the journey - even boarding passes don't really - entry stamps in the passport do.

As others have said, all USCIS need is proof you've met in the last two years - not that you're a couple.

Not needed at this stage, unless the beneficiary were from a country that would need the I-129F 'frontloaded', which the UK isn't.

My RFE

Proof of Citizenship Birth Certificate Long.Form... (we send the other pfff)/

and proof of meeting (we just sent pictures with the names, location and dates on the back, this time we printed with the date on and stamps)

OUR RFE LETTER...about proof of meeting,

Last Personal Meeting: submit evidence of meeting the beneficiary in person within the two years period preceding the filing of the petition

PRIMARY EVIDENCE: Airline ticket stubs, receipts (that indicate year, month and day), copy of passport pages that show the identification and admissions stamps,...

SECONDARY EVIDENCE: May include Film-dated photographs of the petitioner and beneficiary together.

The following DOES NOT constitute evidence of meeting: discs, videos, emails, letters, phone bills and greeting cards.

flossy.. did you send copy of your entire passport books, esp. parts that show entry stamps into the USA or UK from ya'lls visits?

we did that.. sent pics of my trip there.. her 2 trips here.. boarding passes & ticket receipts matching the ticket receipts and all that other skype/email log/whatsapp messages (only one page per month)

Hi everyone,

Thank you all so much for your responses and help. I have however got to the bottom of this, and they did not need more evidence we were a couple it was another error. Bit of a misunderstanding between me and my fiance...oops! No surprise being the other side of the world I guess.
