NVC Filers - May 2013

Hi everyone/anyone,

I have two questions.

  • I just got an email from NVC explaining that I have been assigned as the agent for my spouse and the invoice letter was attached as well. How long before it shows up on payment portal so that I can pay for it ? I thought it should show up right away...right ??
  • How do u set up your timeline to show up as your signature..like most of you have ? It helps when people see that..right ?

Thanks in advance for all your help.

It doesn't get invoiced the SECOND the email is sent/received. It can still take a few more days. Just keep an eye on it.

And you have to make your own signature. Go to your settings, then signature. Add whatever you like :)

Does these imply also to the I-864EZ version as well. Because that is the one that I need to fill out. I will PM you so you could email me that version. Thanks!

I am unsure as to if its also the I-864EZ version. Does anyone else know?

Perhaps ask this question on the new I-864 thread I sent you?

Thank you so much i appreciate your reply :),i have just got approved ,i don't know how much time i need to wait to get a case number then be able to send out the AOS package so i have to wait and see what NVC is up to.

thanks again.

No problem at all :D perhaps also ask the question about the old and new forms at the NVC when you ring for your case number, to get more info on it, but I've found that they lie! They told my husband that they are processing the new I-864's, where on the thread I just sent you people are saying that the NVC is NOT processing them at all yet!

I also just got my number so I'm really hoping that we get to send in our AOS packets before June 23rd and so we skip the massive queue of new I-864's that are building up! :)

Here's a different path for you.

Base assumption - everything in the I-130 submittal is in the casefile and at NVC.

1. get a supervisor on the telephone.

2. ask the supervisor to request that the reviewer of the DS-230 OPEN THE I-130 casefile and review the original marriage certificate

3. report back with your results.

Umm!! Thank you. I will try your way.

Look, I would not worry too much about it after all. The single most important reasoning you can have during the interview is in this link:

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3195.html#marriage_certificate

"Marriage Certificates

Who needs to submit marriage certificates?

If you are married, you must obtain an original marriage certificate, or a certified copy, bearing the appropriate seal or stamp of the issuing authority.

Note: Marriage certificates from certain countries are unavailable. More specific information is available from NVC, the nearest United States immigrant visa processing post, or online at:http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/reciprocity/reciprocity_3272.html"

I would take printe-out page from this site for interview if you are that worried about your certified copy.

Thank you bro. That is not bad. I think I will do it if necessary. smile.png

Order from whatever method you want. Whenever I ordered our transcripts, I did it online.

You can also go into an office to get them. Hubs did that. Took a couple hours but he had them in hand that day.

I interpret the guidelines to say that old versions of the I-184EZ will continue to be accepted, alongside the new version that they released. The only form for which they will not accept the old version after June 23 is the I-184, and it says this explicitly on the USCIS website.

How do u set up your timeline to show up as your signature..like most of you have ? It helps when people see that..right ?

Get on a PC, and edit yer profile.

I don't put that stuff in my signature area - instead, i put it in my 'About Me' page - where I think if anyone wants to see my stuff, they can come visit my profile. I have other stuff in my profile too, including a gorgeous photo of my wife and a cute youtube video

But - I do suggest you handle the edit from a PC - using a handphone to get stuff done at VJ is just so bloody troublesome (yes, I used 'bloody' in a sentence).

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Yup - is also possible to call the main IRS hotline #, and ask for a human, if'n you want them faxed, also.

Takes a human to get the fax request started, but....

I have an efax service that I pay for - and the tax transcripts came right in that evening, was dead easy for me, as they were pdf files from my fax service, and dead easy to attach to my electronic processing thingie for AOS for Guangzhou. I likes it !

Can't do a fax request from the online IRS thingie, and that sucks a lot.

Holy God.

Saylin - is this a data point for you? unknown..

got in a checklist letter via email, a nice pdf attachment thingie,

circa 15:39 CST, stating

'We are still waiting for the Immigrant Visa fee payment(s )' .

I take it that someone was reviewing the IV Doc Set and decided to generate that checklist letter.

That's all it was asking for.. .I'm not concerned, the payment portal still shows in process on the IV fee bill but it cleared outta my bank already.

hmmmmmmmmmmmm I mean, they would not generate a checklist letter requesting ONE SPECIFIC THING unless a human reviewed the IV set, right? Right !

this is going rather fast... hmmmmmm

I'm not going to respond to this thing, at all...

timeticks in my profile, if'n anyone wants to see them.
