Called NVC just now....Our case is COMPLETE yesterday and interview scheduled.....just waiting for an e-mail to see for what date! Took 8 business days to complete it

Nick, sorry, something seems amiss.

With a case complete yesterday,

you still have to have the casefile lobbed over into the interview scheduling queue.

I don't think that happened yet.

For verification, call the DoS Hotline, and ask what the interview date is.

How do you know the interview date has been scheduled?

The lady that I talked to said that everything was reviewed and that they completed the case yesterday and that the interview was already scheduled and that we will recieve and email soon with all the information.

We sent the old version of AOS but if the interview is after June 23 we will take the new one just in case.

We sent the old version of AOS but if the interview is after June 23 we will take the new one just in case.

Can I ask why it took you so long to pay the AOS bill? Or did you pay it when it was created and that's how long it took for them to process the payment? I'm hoping to get our number soon so I can send in the old I-864 form!!

what's the different between I-864 and I-864a

The I-864 is the form the petitioner has to fill in, and the I-864a is the form a co sponsor will need to fill in. For example my husband is filling in the I-864 and his father is our co sponsor, so he is filling out the I-864a I hope this clears things up for you!

Correct me but if your children are getting income (death of parent insurance) it comes i their name.

You can't use that can you?

I mean a minor can't complete a I-864A and have the income considered. Correct.

You either send the most recent year or all three years of tax information. Up to you.

And if you're sending tax transcripts, you don't need to include W2s. Only one exception to that: if you filed jointly and need to show just your individual income. Then yes, include the W2s.

yep i filled jointly ,then i need to send w2 forms along with the package.for the transcripts do we order then online or over the phone.

You should be fine with certified marriage certificate, as long as they are from the same issuing authority. I think you have a valid reason to explain during the interview that original was sent to USCIS.

That would be really great if everything goes fine without original. I emailed service center about this matter yesterday. Let's see how they gonna reply. I am trying to maintain testimony as much as possible so that I can show them if I asked for original.

Might I suggest you get in touch with your local senators office to see if they can help? Although the certified copy of the certificate (if issued by the same authority) will do, I'm sure you will feel,better if you get the original back. Call the senators office and explain your issue and that you do need it asap and the issues you have faced with trying to get it, perhaps they can ask and thus speed up the process for you, or at least offer you some clarification on when you may get it back?
