question! lately, has it been taking a while for AOS to be invoiced?

Yes the AOS invoicing has taken longer than normal. A few weeks up to a month.

wow that long? forreals, but i saw some timelines that got theirs invoiced in a few days..

does anyway know if i could get this thing expedited. this is for my 1 year old daughter, was left alone with her nanny .. need to get her soon..

Yay! The embassy in Madrid emailed me today to say they received my case today, and scheduled an interview for June 14th!!! Guess the expedite did pull through at the embassy after all

The only thing I'm worried about now is the AOS, since it was not reviewed by the NVC, and I'm guessing it won't be reviewed by the embassy until the actual day of the interview. How likely is it that they'll ask me to come back with tax transcripts instead of the tax returns I submitted? I know both things are accepted but that tax transcripts are preferred, but has anyone ever gotten a denial at the embassy because of this?

For NVC, tax transcripts are preferred.

For embassies/consulates, it varies. Some prefer entire tax returns, others just tax transcripts.

Either way, you wouldn't get denied, you would just be placed into AP until you provided the documents.

Well that's good. You're finally caught up! YAY! Now you can send in everything once they're paid.

You may want to wait until they show paid in the portal though... Read the guide for EP to double check. I only say this because they get the email instantly, even though it may take a week or two for them to open it.

Yes, I will follow the "rules" this time. I don't want to screw up at this point in time.

Sounds like it's a false checklist, based off them reviewing, and accepting, the DS-260. Call up again to confirm.

False checklists are extremely common. Just look back throughout the pages and you'll see plenty of people getting them.

And it was just the operator you got. Most operators can confirm to just ignore the checklist. I'd suggest asking the operator first, and if for whatever reason they can't tell you, then request to speak with a supervisor.

For EP Cases headed to Guangzhou, it's usually 2 to 5 business days past 'final review complete' timetick.

You should call, ask if the final review is completed, and if it is, ask for the date, then start doing the math.

Gah, frustrated with the NVC and this new AOS form business.

Just called them to see that they had received our IV and AOS form that we sent early last week. He said the IV application wasn't on the system yet but could be in the building and that they're working on putting the new process in place to go through these new AOS forms. Surely this should be done before putting the new form up on the site?!! He said there was no time frame he could give me for this either.

Anyone sent the new AOS off and had case complete yet? Got my heart set on leaving in late-August. Hope this is still possible!

Try to remember the USCIS made the form. The NVC is not the same dept as the USCIS but they both use this form. Everyone is having trouble with this and give them their 20 business days. I know its hard. Especially after having to wait with the USCIS.
