Is there any downside to having her visa and GC issued in her maiden name?

We just got this passport a few months ago and we spent quite a tidy sum to get it, so not really looking forward to paying for a new one if I don't really have to.

Nope, absolutely no issue with anything being in her maiden name.

All the forms for my process were in my maiden name, my passport, thus visa and green card. Now my driver's license. I never changed my last name, so everything's still in my maiden name. Never had an issue. I do bring my marriage certificate if I go back to Canada to visit, just in case, but I've never needed it.

It clearly states that this is a denial. Have the beneficiary send another DS-3032; it should be accepted the second time.

Ok thanks, I will for sure! I decided to change the subject as "Supervisor Review - NVC Case # MTL2012XXXXXX - BENEFICIARY'S FULL NAME - Second Time Sending" since I am sending it the second time. Thanks for all your help guyz!

Getting a case number in 2 weeks would be considered fast right now. Was your I-130 approved at a local office? Many approved there are waiting a month just for the case to be shipper out to NVC. Have you called USCIS to confirm the case has been sent out yet? If the case hasn't been sent out, there's no point calling NVC until they do.

Nothing to worry about. Case numbers take awhile to assign, even once the files have been received at NVC. Just keep calling once a day, it'll be assigned soon

Yes, I'd definitely recommend calling USCIS right now until you've heard (from at least 5 different operators) that the case has been sent out. Once it has, then you can go back to calling NVC.

Can any of my canadian friends help me with getting vaccination records?

I don't understand Canadian healthcare, and honestly, I don't think my husband does either since he never uses it lmao.

His doctor retired about 2 years ago so supposedly his records went to this new doctor that he's only seen once during a new patient consult.

I plan to call her to make sure she has all of that stuff, but I really don't have much hope that she does.

If she doesn't, what does he do?

I hear about these titre tests (sp) but can he just walk to the hospital and get these done?

And are they free?

And honestly, if they're free, even if his doctor has the vaccination records, she's 30 mins away and the hospital is 30secs.

I'd be more tempted to send him to get the tests done instead of taking time off to drive all the way out there to get paperwork which I assume has to be originals or something, right? not faxes?

The hospital won't do this. It isn't an emergency. It will have to be a walk-in clinic or his doctor. The doctor should be able to fax the request for the blood work to the lab closest to you guys. Then you don't have to go in to the doc's office until you get the results. However she SHOULD have vaccination records, it is usually the lead page in the medical file. Also, note that some of the titres won't be tested for in Ontario. I can't remember which one it was but for me I wound up getting a booster just to save myself the hastle.

i am petitioning my 1 year old daughter. i read at the NVC processing about the AoS. it says there that if i'm filing for a child who will become a citizen immediately upon entry i am going to file I-864W . is this what i am supposed to fill up instead of I-864. i have a co-sponsor too. please help.. thanks

btw, i-864W is INTENDING IMMIGRANT'S AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT EXEMPTION

i am petitioning my 1 year old daughter. i read at the NVC processing about the AoS. it says there that if i'm filing for a child who will become a citizen immediately upon entry i am going to file I-864W . is this what i am supposed to fill up instead of I-864. i have a co-sponsor too. please help.. thanks

Yes, the I-864W would be correct. You can read the instructions for that form to confirm.

i am pretty sure my daughter will become a citizen immediately upon entry under CCA 2000. the uscis officer says so also, also read the i-864w checklist. i'll read again just to make sure. thanks saylin

I got my acceptance letter just now. It listed my Wife's maiden name instead of her married name.

Visas are issued in the same name that's printed in the passport.

Evening all!

We have some brilliant news: our expedite was approved by the Paris Embassy today and I managed to get NVC to DHL our documents to the Embassy today also (thus avoiding the bank holiday delay).

Our cases are now 'in transit' on the CEAC website and should be there by Tuesday, sooooo this means we could well have an interview the first week in June!

Moral of the story - be extra nice to the NVC CSOs and they'll do what they can to help ya!

Our case just left NBC today at 2PM when it was "logged out"!

Now its status is "In Transit", but ISO couldn't confirm where to , so we hope it's to NVC! She wanted to make a SR to make sure it goes to NVC, but couldn't because we already have a pending SR from a week ago.

So hopefully by Tuesday NVC will have some good news for us.

We are already on day 51 since NOA2, and from Saylin's spreadsheet there were only 5 other cases this year that took longer than that. Not the way I would wish to make into the top 10%.
