Has the petitioner called USCIS to see if the petition has been sent yet?

Auto-response = received pretty quickly after sending the email, as the name applies, it's sent automatically, just saying the NVC servers received the email

Acceptance = can take awhile to receive, from an actual person, and it's about the acceptance (or denial) of the DS-3032

Most people receive both emails, but nothing to worry about if you don't receive one or the other. As long as the IV bill gets invoiced in the end, that's all that matters.

So as long as the IV Bill invoice shows up in the Payment Portal then you know the DS-3032 was approved? Sorry if that sounds redundant but just want to make sure I'm clear. Thanks!

I called NVC for the first time this morning. They told me that it can take 15 business days for them to receive the case, and another 20 business days for it to get inputted into their system. So you're definitely over that time frame. Might be a good idea to call USCIS and see if they shipped it.

Yup, exactly. The IV bill isn't invoiced until the DS-3032 has been received and added to the case file. So, if the IV is invoiced, then the DS-3032 has been approved.

The ONLY exception to this is if one has a lawyer/attorney attached to the case. In those cases, the IV is invoiced along with the AOS bill since the lawyer/attorney is automatically selected as agent, bypassing the need to submit a DS-3032.

Yes he's called them a few times .... the first 3 times they told him it had been shipped... but the last time they said it was still sitting at the Houston office but that was at least a week ago probably more ... he is going to try and call them again today ... even if they are only sending out stuff once a month like some others have said ... they SHOULD have sent ours by now sad.png ... what time do they close btw smile.png

Congrats!

NVC schedules interview dates.

-- Thanks Saylin! When do you suggest I start calling to find out if they have an interview date already? Brazil is a big country and Rio is a bit far away from where I am... the sooner I start to plan, the better :-)

DVV, there is a thread entitled 'I 864 new version' in which a bunch of VJers are reporting the same problem. It seems that The AOS packages are being delayed due to the new version which was released mid April but which the NVC hasn t got any instructions on how to review it.

Some were confirmed that the NVC had started reviewing them yesterday, however my jusband was told yesterday too they our AOSs were still on hold due to that reason...

I am going to call everyday to get an update on the issue.

I had some gut feeling, 2 months ago when there was talk of the new I-864, that it'd be a problem prior to the date.

So what I planned on, and did,

was to file I-864 using the old form

and prep a new I-864 for my wife to hand over at the IV Unit, on interview day, just in case the IV Unit b|tched about the version on interview day.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Well got a checklist for missing W-2's and other tax stuff for 2012 for the I-864, problem is that haven't been required to file for taxes since all the income is from VA disability compensation which is tax exempt. The paperwork already included an explanation as to why haven't filed for taxes and a copy of the tax law. sad.png
