How does the ds3032 work in my case wife and stepdaughter, the stepdaughter is just 12. Well she need to submit her own?

Yes. Use the email template provided and send it from an email address set up for the immigration. It doesn't need to be her own email, just set up a family account you or your spouse can use to get emails from the NVC.

How does the ds3032 work in my case wife and stepdaughter, the stepdaughter is just 12. Well she need to submit her own?

Yep she does!

We submitted my children's ( age 8 and 10) own ds3032, 230 and I864s.

An advice is to use a separate email address for her too.

My children have their own account and they receive emails from NVC whenever needed.

As far as I know, every applicant needs to have a DS-3032 on file. I believe for under-age children, the petitioner needs to send it on their behalf, but I could be wrong. I'm sure someone who filed with children will come around shortly and correct me if I'm wrong.

We sent the Ds3032 with my children s email addresses and they were accepted.

I signed the DS230 on their behalf though, and these were also accepted.

we recieved a checklist in email from NVC today saying that they recieved our packet IV documents, but are still waiting for AOS documents, which we submitted a week earlier than packet IV. We called NVC immdly and the lady told us, As packet IV and AOS are reviewed by two different ppl, it might have been send by mistake, However she asked us to wait until June 1st and call back if they do not hear anything abt AOS documents review until then. Is this common?....

That's so common we refer to it as a "false checklist". If you are sure (because you got a tracking number, for instance) that your AOS packet made it to the NVC, then it is being processed separately and you can safely ignore the checklist. I agree that calling back in one week if you don't hear something by then (and I think you will) is realistic.

Sure, thanks.

DVV, there is a thread entitled 'I 864 new version' in which a bunch of VJers are reporting the same problem. It seems that The AOS packages are being delayed due to the new version which was released mid April but which the NVC hasn t got any instructions on how to review it.

Some were confirmed that the NVC had started reviewing them yesterday, however my jusband was told yesterday too they our AOSs were still on hold due to that reason...

I am going to call everyday to get an update on the issue.

To be honest its probably a computer problem. They likely scan the I-864 and it automatically inputs the information for them. This would require a new program or at the very least glitch fixes so that all the info goes into their program correctly. Because of this they may be doing this by hand which requires more time. Thus the actual 20 business days. Remember that this weekend is up to a 4 day govt holiday. Those days are not included. Also 20 business days is a month regular time. :)

I hope they get it all figured out soon for you guys. :)

The acceptance email. But what's the difference between the two?

Auto-response = received pretty quickly after sending the email, as the name applies, it's sent automatically, just saying the NVC servers received the email

Acceptance = can take awhile to receive, from an actual person, and it's about the acceptance (or denial) of the DS-3032

Most people receive both emails, but nothing to worry about if you don't receive one or the other. As long as the IV bill gets invoiced in the end, that's all that matters.

we recieved a checklist in email from NVC today saying that they recieved our packet IV documents, but are still waiting for AOS documents, which we submitted a week earlier than packet IV. Yup, that's what we here on VJ call a false checklist. As the operator said, packages are reviewed in different departments. Typically, when a package is reviewed and accepted, then a false checklist is created, asking for the other package. This letter is sent out without even checking if the other package is already in the building.

Hi micky2008,

My case was also received on 04/29 and I also received a case # and IIN on 05/13/13. I sent the ds3032 as soon as i got the case # and IIN #. Have u gotten an email from them...if they have approved the ds3032 ? and do u have your AOS invoiced yet ? Thanks!

Hi Micky2008,

No word yet on my case, what about yours ? Maybe what is slowing things down for us is that the AOS for other Vj members are taking long to be reviewed as it is a new form and they might not be invoicing any AOS until this issue is resolved ...that's just an idea..don't know if it is true...hmmm.

I will try to call them tonight and see if I can talk to a supervisor...becoz it doesn't take them that long to invoice the AOS....

I don't have a reply yet for the DS-3032...i think I will send this again or should I just wait on this...don't know what to do. ?????
