There's obviously more people immigrating to the US from Barbados, but not everyone's on VJ, and those that are, don't always update their timelines (if they even have one in the first place) as diligently as other folks. Hopefully the fact that there's not that many people immigrating will mean there's a very low backlog, so you'll get an interview quickly after case complete.

And yes, a supervisor review helps most times. Good luck!

We'll see how fast it goes :D hopefully for me there is a low backlog LOLthanks again for your input, I'll be calling everyday that's for sure!

Set up a skype account and call from Jordan using skype. Living in Ecuador, it's really the only way I was able to call NVC for updates.

Congrats! kicking.gif

As for your question, call up NVC and ask about it. Make sure you ask a MINIMUM of five different operators, then take the majority answer (if they're different, which can happen).

Bit late to the May party, I guess I'll stay on to the June one aswell haha.

HOPEHOPEHOPE we get assigned a July interview in early June.

We send our AOS package last weekend and the NVC will recieve our IV package today (over-nighted yesterday). So another wait begins!

When should I start bothering the nice people at the NVC again? Did most people leave it 2 weeks before calling for news on case complete/interview dates?

You can call as often/soon as you wish. Some people start calling the day after the package has been received and continue to do so once a day (this is what I suggest), while others wait a few days or a week or two.

Hi everyone, I have been calling the NVC about once or twice a week since I knew my AOS and IV packets were delivered. The IV one was processed pretty quickly, but the AOS took longer for some reason. They send me a checklist, a false one I think, for "Financial Evidence", and later told me on the phone that I was missing evidence of US domicile and that I should wait to get an email about that. I knew I had sent evidence of domicile and I never got that email, so I never sent anything else. Anyway, so yesterday they told me our case is complete! We're happy about that and hope for an interview date soon.

We live in Ireland but my husband is from Mexico. Does anybody know if there is anything unusual about interviews for people living in a third country? Like will they be looking for any documents relating to what we are doing here?

Good luck to everybody!

Congrats on the CC!

For the interview, you may be asked to submit documentation of your legal residency information for Ireland (like resident cards or visas). Other than that, can't think of anything they would ask for.

I always suggest waiting until Montreal has received your case (so a few days after an interview date has been assigned).

For IR-1/CR-1 applicants, we just need to register for courier services, so you would choose that first option.

Ooooh, "Application Error" when I try to log into the portal page, from multiple browsers. Possible good news on it's way? (I hope I hope, c'mon case complete!)

SIF no longer happens, if that's what you're referring to.

"Dear Sir or Madam:

The National Visa Center has received all documentation necessary to complete pre-processing

of your case. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner

and attorney (if applicable) will be notified.

The applicant should NOT make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment

until the US Embassy or Consulate General has issued a visa.

The US Embassy or Consulate General may require additional documentation at the time of

the interview. Additional documentation requirements if applicable can be referenced at

the following URL: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3742.html

"

Is this a case complete?

Yup, that's a CC email. Congrats!

####### I have had case complete since Friday and have still not gotten any message like this >=[

Keep in mind, emails from NVC can be severely delayed. And as long as you heard from multiple operators your case is complete, there's nothing to worry about.

One of them must have mis-read the screen. Call up again later tonight.

I think you're thinking USCIS.

I could be mistaken, but I've never heard of people saying you need to speak to a Tier 2 at NVC.

You're right. Tier 2 is a USCIS thing. At NVC, it's operators, then supervisors.

So NVC has received my case as of 05/20/13. Guy says call around early June to get case number. I leave Friday to Jordan. Any suggestions?? lol

Keep calling once a day as it can be assigned any day now. Like another member suggested, once you get to Jordan, use Skype. It'll likely be much cheaper than using a mobile phone.

yay! After getting "application error" earlier today when I tried to log in, the portal now says "in transit". Must mean my case is on it's way to the embassy smile.png Hope it arrives soon!

That does sound like a good indication it's been sent. But, please, call up to confirm. Never rely 100% on that site...
