It's actually an error on the Online Forms portal. I don't know if that means the same kind of good news as an error on the Payment Portal. Everything's been invoiced, paid, and received, so really we're just waiting on them to review things. The last time I called was Friday morning when they said the papers hadn't even been added to my file yet, so I've been giving them time, but this makes me want to call them NOW! I'm trying to calm myself, though, and wait until the afternoon so that they might be done with something rather than in the middle of it...

Sounds like it! Congratulations!

I get the same error, but my petition has been completed since Friday.

CONRATTTTSSSSSS!!!!!

Thanks :D

KDH, I think you and I will probably be scheduled in the same batch of interviews. Here's hoping we both get a date that works for us and neither of us needs to use the process to change things! Were you able to find those posts? I think I've pieced most of the process together from my memory, if you still need the info.

Yes, I think I've gathered everything.

I'm seriously hoping for a magical July 1st.

That would be the magic date.

Monday, and early in july.

June is fine too.

But I realllllyyy need it to be before July 6th, and a Monday would be really sweet so I only have to take (1) day off work.

I just realized how CRAPPY things are going to be during that time.

I will travel 7 hours to montreal, sleep in a hotel, have my interview the next day, and drive 7 hours straight back.

Then, most likely within a week, I'll drive 8 hours to Chicago >=[

We're praying for July 8, and that they will either give it to him same-day, like they've done with a few others, or that he can pick it up in a few days and not have to wait for it to arrive through Loomis. He comes back from Peru on July 1, and leaves for Mexico on July 14, so really tiny window. This is the downside of graduate studies that require you to spend significant time in another country....

Yeah, that's not the most fun. Air Canada just sent hubby an email that they're having a sale on flights from Toronto to Montreal...of course, you have to book in the next two days...

They've been giving visas same day?!

I missed that.

That's pretty cool.

I'm not interested in staying in town for more days.

They typically arrive like a week later anyways so no biggie, I'll have them send it.

I'm driving.

Vroom vroom!

Thought about a train though.

Still sort of thinking about it.

Sort of.

I don't like not being in control.

Yeah, there was another person who got her's (I think it's a she) same-day, without asking. I posted a thread in the Canada forum asking about getting the visa quickly and she responded there. I figure it doesn't hurt to ask. Hubby will be out of classes and (we think) has a friend to stay with in Montreal, so he could stick around to pick it up, which would be important for the quick exit.

And I hear you about wanting to be in control!
