This is what I wrote:

To Whom May It Concern:

I am (My Name), wife and petitioner of (My Husband's Name). I did not file an income tax return because I have not worked during my 8 years residence in Mexico. Once I came to Puerto Rico, I had to resort to several specialists since my older son has learning disabilities. My husband asked me to focus on our son instead of seeking a job since from Mexico he would send me money. That's why I have not included an income tax return as evidence in the AOS that I sent. I hope I clarified my point with this letter. Thanks for your attention.

Like Niki said, you really don't need WHY you weren't working. They could careless about that. They just need to know that you weren't working. Although, they should have understood that from your letter (as it was clear to me).

Saylin I already had all original documents except for COC equivalent for police clearance in singapore which im preparing all my documents now. I had photo copies and Certified copies of my original documents. its ok to send certified true copies or original for th IV packet. thank you

For birth and marriage certificates, you can send in certified copies, that's what I did. Only the PCC has to be the original. Make sure to include regular photocopies of the birth and marriage certificates.

To whom it may concern,

I, YOUR NAME, have not filed an income tax return in 2012 because I was unemployed and my income was zero.

Sincerely

YOUR NAME

That should work. They don't need the rest.

Thanks!!!!

No. Go read your checklist again. It didn't state anything about missing or having incorrect information on the form.

We still cannot pay the AOS the status still not invoice. How many working days before they had invoice it. Saylin thank you for your information it really helps.

You just got your case number 2 business days ago. It takes time to invoice the AOS bill. Should be some time this upcoming week. Keep an eye on the payment portal.

HELP!!!!

I realised, after my husband's scanne all 3 AOS packages, that he s used my cover sheet for my children's applications instead of theirs (no, I won't rant.... ranting33va.gif ).

All the docs were sent Friday. What are we to do?

Is this going to delay our applications?

Hello, me and my husband are getting the package IV ready, he's going to mail me some documents, I'll add some more and then I'll send it to the NVC. I have few doubts and even if I read some experiences I was hoping any of you could give me more prcice information.

Do I need to send translated copies of my birth certificate?

Also are they going to ask my police certificate at the interview too? If so, I need to send one to the NVC and keep another one ready for the interview, am I right? Does it need to be translated? Since the police certificate costs some money, I don't wannna ask for more unneeded copies or not get enough copies.

Thank you :)

Ciao!

I m going to translate my birth and Police certs and include a statement to say that Im fluent in English and French.

As for the Police cert, it is my belief that the NVC sends all the paperwork to the Embassy once your case is complete so they should have it. However I am still going to make a copy of it (and the whole AOS and IV package, plus I130) for the interview, simply in case they ask me for some of the documentation.
