Am I understanding this correct, once you get the MNL # you can schedule the interview with the embassy even though they may have not yet received it or maybe not had time to process it or send out the packet yet?

im not at this part yet, and im sure i have a little ways to go. but once i do get there any tips on getting an interview date as soon as you did? and congrats on your journey so far!!

The information in this thread applies to the U.S. Embassy Manila. Your Embassies may have a much different process.

How were you able to schedule your interview just weeks after getting your MNL #?

Here's how you do it:

1. Get your MNL case number.

2. As soon as you get your MNL case number, pay the visa application fee at BPI.

3. 4-24 hours after you pay the visa application fee, schedule an interview appointment either online or by phone. Lately, people have been scheduling interviews a couple of weeks out.

Brother kambingaso...Once you get your MNL case number, you'll be cruising at warp speed. Are you ready for that?

My experience is with the USEM (US Embassy Manlia) only. I'm not sure what the Embassy procedures are for Mexico, but I would imagine that it would not be much different. I would advise you to find the US Embassy Mexico City website and then find the link to scheduling visa interviews. Best wishes and good luck!

Totally agree. Actually they are telling you that after BPI you need to wait 4 to 6 hours before scheduling. We had to wait 5 hours. The couple of weeks out part is spot on.

Same for me, I got the MNL case number 6 business days after the NOA2 date. Because it was a weekend in the Philippines we couldn't pay at BPI until the following Monday, but within a day of paying we had our interview date, May 14. My fiancée already has her Cenomar, Birth Certificate, NBI clearance, and has completed the CFO. The day after she receives her visa she can go get the CFO sticker then be on her way to the US. Between receiving the NOA2 and the MNL number I sent everything I needed to via USPS and it arrived 4 business days later. She will do medical this week, then have nearly a week and a half between the medical and the interview to ... basically print chat logs? We've been preparing so all the pressure is off now. She is printing the forms today and has already registered for the medical.

We're hoping she can be here 2 weeks after the interview, putting her here the end of May, about 6 weeks after NOA2.

Good luck to everyone!

It depends on what time of day you pay the visa application fee. If you pay late in the day, you'll have to wait until the next day to schedule the interview appointment. But it sure beats waiting seven months!

With the slew of recent approvals, has there been anyone who has received their NVC case number yet? I was approved about a week ago. Should I start calling them, maybe this Friday or so?

I'm excited beyond belief!!

We didn't get any NVC case number but we got a new case number when the file was delivered to my home country sweden.
