Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

This is the instruction set for the K-1 visa at Guangzhou.

Disregard the IV Set, that's for DCF filers chasing a CR-1/2, IR-1/2/4/5 . That's not you, at all.

We are having a lot of trouble paying for the Visa on the China Citic Bank website that eventually directs to https://online.unionpay.com/. We get all the way to paying with the debit card and entering the PIN and everything, and then finally it fails when trying to submit it. I've tried two different cards and neither of them work. They are both China Construction Bank UnionPay cards.

Does anyone have any insight on this?

Another question I'm filling out the DS-230, part 2 questions 43a and 43b are asking about whether or not my fiancee wants to apply for a SSN.............correct me if I'm wrong........but a SSN is necessary for getting married, right?

Mitch, I still think this is a bad idea to get the K-1 visa, marry in US, and then leave the country without applying for a GC. I don't see the point of doing any of this!

And it's just going to be even more difficult once you try to apply for the tourist visa in the future.. just saying.

K-1 visa chasers only fill out Part I of the DS-230. Part II is for folk chasing a CR-1/2, IR-1/2/4/5

Sorry Darnell,

1 more question...........what are rules about taking breaks during the application process? Like right now I am on the DS-230 step, could I just wait to fill it out like 3 months or so to mail it back? Just due to like timing issues.

My fiance had the interview this morning, and she passed! She said it was very simple. The actual interview lasted less than 2 minutes she said. It sounded like they already had decided she passed before she began.

Thank you to Darnell and everyone else during this process! You were a huge help, especially when we first found out the expectation (not requirement) for the K-1 being to stay and we couldn't get permanent residency without staying long term. It's a great blessing to have found this forum.

I do have a question. I read on this forum that we could change the document delivery address at the interview because this website https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/DocumentDeliveryOption?DocumentDeliveryOptionFromHome=DocumentDeliveryOptionFromHome only has addresses in bigger cities. I'm in a smaller city now and would rather not have to go back to Guangzhou unless I have to for this. At the interview, they told my fiance that she needs to change the address online. I tried going back to this website, but I can't find out how to change the address to someone in my city.

Does anyone have any direction about how to change this address online to the city I'm living in Guangdong or do I have to go back to Guangzhou?

Apologies if I answered this before,

but

Part I of the DS-230 is for K-1 visa chasers.

Part II is filled out by folk chasing immigrant visas (IR-1,2,4,5 or CR-1,2) so I really worry about where you are reading instructions for chasing a K-1 visa.

It's ok, though - it's a natural worry I have, based on what you've been writing here.
