Sorry guys for not quoting the entire post.

I only sent 20 pages total (joint bank, insurance, lease and some pictures) and have not gotten rfe and did my biometrics earlier on today. I think some people send way too much stuff. Guess it is always better to send more than less but 250+ pages?!?

You can't know if you've gotten a RFE yet or not as USCIS hasn't reviewed your package.

My first set had about 20-30 pages and I realize I had forgotten to include our 2011 taxes. This time I resent everything, including all W2 forms for the past 2 years.

I also saw that people received RFE's asking for W2 forms, etc. AFTER they had their Biometrics done. That is the part that scares me. They thought everything was fine and were just waiting for their approval then BAM, they were hit with a RFE. No one (from what I've read) got one prior to their biometric.

I'm hoping everything works out for the both of us. :)

You do realise they only review packages months later, right? Which means it'll always be after biometrics...

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. The RFE is AFTER the biometrics, which is why Mystickal is not positively "RFE-free" yet and why I still have time to resubmit.

offtopic45vn.gif an off topic question as we enter the waiting game for the next few months...what do you folks think of the new immigration reform's impact on our timelines?

Is there a possibility that this will overwhelm the already overloaded USCIS? Are they hiring more folks into USCIS?

It's the new immigration bill that will provide permanent residencies to millions of undocumented immigrants...I know it's not directly related to our I-751 petitions but I am just curious about whether USCIS has enough folks to suddenly cover a million more applications...

Well today was the appointment for the biometrics. Drive all the way there to find out when we walk in that there was a power outage this morning so they're closed for the day. Now we have to find another day to go down there to have it done. Ridiculous. They should at least have notified the people who had appointments that "hey! we're not going to be open today so don't waste your time coming down here." Would have been nice.

I'm happy to see that many of you had successful walk-ins for your biometrics!!! I intend to do the same this upcoming Monday (17th) in Norfolk, VA.

I was wondering if any of you knew, if I could still have them change my Last Name or what I would have to do?!? I didn't know I was supposed to file I-751 with my changed last name :( because all my evidence is with my other last name ... any help appreciated

I think I read somewhere that I should mention this at my Biometrics?!?

I doubt the ASC would be able to change your last name. Your best bet is to call up USCIS and see what they can do.
