A quick question since its been a couple years since I became a citizen and I am now helping my daughter apply as she is now a PR for 5 years. If she happens to fail the 10 question portion of the interview, do they give you another chance?

Not that I expect she will, but I'm a stressed out parent and she's ADHD so her concentration sucks sometimes, especially when she's stressed.

Thanks!

I believe they give you a second chance after a certain number of days. If you still don't pass, then they deny your application (meaning that you will have wasted the fee). You can always take it again, but you will need to apply from scratch.

Here's your answer !

The Naturalization Test;

If You Don’t Pass

You will be given two opportunities to take the English and Civics tests and to answer all questions relating to your naturalization application in English. If you fail any of the tests at your initial interview, you will be retested on the portion of the test that you failed (English or Civics) between 60 and 90 days from the date of your initial interview.

Good luck to you

Have you seen the various study materials on the USCIS website? I was just thinking that depending on what type of learner she is, they may have something on there that’ll be good for her. http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.749cabd81f5ffc8fba713d10526e0aa0/?vgnextoid=982a309186e89210VgnVCM10000025e6a00aRCRD&vgnextchannel=c242df6bdd42a210VgnVCM100000b92ca60aRCRD

Also, I’ve seen i-phone study apps for the test as well.

Hopefully the more prepped & confident she is, the easier it’ll go for her!

Wish her luck from us at VJ!
