Hi all,

So I did a search (or rather did my best lol) for interview experiences at the Baltimore office and found a lot of posts about having papers being given to supervisors for review.. how many of you have actually received your green card and how long did it take from the time of the interview to get it?

Also, how was the experience? I hear the officers are grumpy and mean? What kind of questions did they ask? Etc. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

I'm one of the luckiest persons whose papers were passed on to their supervisors for further review.. Actually, my interview wasn't that bad. The interviewer just wasn't too friendly with me that's the only thing I noticed but he wasn't rude either.. My interview sked was around 2:30pm but I got called in around 4pm. Like you, I did a lotta research about the Baltimore office & I found out that some people here in VJ basically have the same interview experience with me.. Same treatment: no clues if approved or not, no stamp, told us to wait for the results in the mail, and had to submit our papers to someone in higher positions for pending approval.. It's weird that no name check nor security check was mentioned. I don't know if it has something to do with my husband not able to attend my interview with me. He's in Iraq by the way. Most people that I know got the same Mickey Mouse treatment by USCIS-Baltimore. But I wouldn't worry much if I were you, to each is to his own.. Your upcoming interview experience might not be like ours... Good luck!

Hi Jenny

I was interviewed in Baltimore too. The chap was grumpy but not rude. maybe it gets boring interviewing couples all day... I dont know. He didnt approve us (but didnt deny us either...!) and didn't take the I-94. He said he had to show the case to another Officer and we should sit tight and wait for an answer in the mail. He did say if i want to travel I should get an AP, which suggests to me he *knows* it'll be ages. Maybe they are just backlogged in Baltimore, because I have heard of plenty of folks getting their gc straght away from other offices. praps theyre understaffed!

Good luck anyway!!!

Thanks for the quick replies! I really appreciate it. At the moment, I'm really counting on my EAD so I can bring in some $$$ so my husband and I can get our own place finally. So essentially, the gc can take it's time.. sucks about him advising to get AP tho.. as I didn't apply for it and miss my family in Canada terribly :( Maybe I should apply.
