sounds like this woman is an accessory after the fact, at least, nad an accomplice in unlawful flight to avoid arrest.

The wife of Boston bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev is now being considered a potential accomplice to the attack by the FBI, according to a report by The Weekly Standard.

The Standard’s Stephen F. Hayes reported Thursday that Katherine Russell Tsarnaeva is being carefully looked at by investigators as a possible accomplice.

She reportedly called her husband in the hours after the FBI released photos and videos of the Tsarnaev brothers for their suspected involvement in last week’s blasts that killed three and injured over 250 people.

That phone call reportedly led to the chaotic flight of the Tsarnaev brothers, involving more explosives and a shootout with police. Tamerlan died late last week from injuries sustained in that shootout.

Nah. That's not why she wanted her in jail. She stated it didn't matter whether the woman knew or not - she should go to jail for wearing a hijab. It's not a very confusing quote, yet you can't seem to grasp it.

Why aren't more news sources reporting this? Their only reports are about the mother.

Agreed. We all know what she meant.

Let's say reports of this phone call are true. Though they could easily not be. Here's a thought: you see a man that could (or could not be - the photo was grainy early on) your husband on TV, they say he's done something horrible and every cop and fed in New England is looking for him. What's the first thing you do?

Not for nothing but I was good friends [in college] with this woman's neighbor and met her myself some 3 years ago. No one in her life who really knows her thinks she was involved. She was, however, in a very ugly, abusive relationship and for the sake of herself and her child should have left him long ago. Not that this would have made any difference for her husband's victims. Clearly caring for his family was one of the furthest things from his mind.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev was a loser deadbeat with nothing but rage in his heart. His brother too. If anyone knew what these brothers were up to I hope they will be arrested and prosecuted, but it's time for everyone to let up on the ones who were in the dark. The guilt by association bit is getting really old and useless.
