Hey guys,

I got my RFE from my field office on March 2nd. I sent it out to them on the 13th. My RFE was never notified me by mail but by change in status online and through mail a few days later. But after I sent it, my case status doesn't say anything about them receiving it. I'm nervous bc I think they said I only have 80 or 90? Days to respond. So, this Thur will be 2 months. And since it passes the time limit to send it, they deny it. I just sent it through the post office box, so I don't have proof of even sending it. I will prob call USCIS Monday. I'm very busy, so I'd rather avoid InfoPass. Any other ideas?

USCIS STAGE (209 Days)
09/29/2012 - Mailed/Filed for I-130 via USPS Express Mail
10/02/2012 - I-130 Form received
10/03/2012 - E-Notification / Text Message Notification NOA1
10/04/2012 - USCIS Cashed Check ($420)
10/13/2012 - Received NOA1 in Mail
03/02/2013 - Case Status changed to RFE [exactly 5 months since received]
03/05/2013 - Paper RFE - Case at Field Office
03/13/2013 - Mailed out requested RFE

04/29/2013 - APPROVED!!!! Case Status Post-Decision Activity

05/03/2013 - Received NO2 in the Mail

05/06/2013 - NVC Received Case

07/01/2016 - Received notification to receive green card within 90 days ; 07/07/2016 - Green card received!

We got a NOID from our local field office and it took 2 1/2 months to get a response from them and then it was an approval.

If you are concerned, you could get an InfoPass appointment to confirm the documents made it there and are married up with your file. We did that.

I have the same problem with my local office, no update to my case and it is over 90 days since I respond to RFE. I did a service request and I received a letter saying the will process my case 60-90 days ......it say nothing about RFE...but I have a infropass on thru.just to see what up with my RFE.

What was the RFE for , if you don't mind me asking? I'm interested to see what they asked for since I was married in Costa Rica also. We are using an immigration attorney and I went nuts trying to get everythiing translated and in the package from the get-go .... trying to avoid an RFE from the start.

It stated that I didn't add a copy of the marriage certificate (which I did!) I had put it behind the english version. (WOW, that they didn't even look for it, right?) smh..

I have the same problem with my local office, no update to my case and it is over 90 days since I respond to RFE. Let me know! I'm def going to call tomorrow, but it just sucks how there is no phone number for the field offices....

Yeah, I might HAVE to do that. -___-" so dumb. I had called once asking about I forgot what and said something like "how will I know if they definitely will get the documents?" And a USCIS rep was just like "well, if you sent it, then they got it" - never helpful these people, I swear!
