Yes, your fiance needs to get all the required shots as long as he is age appropriate for those. Depending on the appointed doctor (from the embassy's list), he can have the shots prior to his medical or at the medical itself.

married in Vancouver, Canada

USCIS-free for 10 years !

If my fiance does not have some of the required shots, will he have to get those, and then be cleared by the embassy doctor?

Or he can wait and have them in the US before AOS

Vaccination Requirements

All applicants for immigrant visas are required to have the following vaccinations, if appropriate, for age, medical condition, or medical history:

Mumps

Measles

Rubella

Polio

Tetanus and diptheria toxoids

Pertussis

Influenza type B

Hepatitis B

Varicella

Pneumococcal

As a fiancé(e), you are not required to fulfill this requirement at the time of your medical examination for a fiancé(e) visa. However, you may want to do so. These vaccinations are required when you adjust status following your marriage.

Abril01,

The vaccinations are not required for the K-1 visa. However, when you adjust status (AOS) after marriage, your Fiance will need to have the requisite vaccinations up to date. It will be less expensive to get them done in his country though, so you may want to get that out of the way now.

If my fiance does not have some of the required shots, will he have to get those, and then be cleared by the embassy doctor?
