Because the website date shows they are processing July 18, when you call the number, they will only tell you that is the processing date, even though we all know they've gone past this.

The first person you talk to has only limited knowledge and answer your question based on a limited list of answers. To get more details, you would need to talk to a tier 2 representative.

I doubt ti would do a lot of good at this point, because the website says July 18 until they update it in May. You may want to consider contacting a Senator to see if they can get a better response for you, or wait until they update the site next month, but since that update will only move it forward to the end of March, it likely won't go past August 20 either.

Sorry I couldn't be of much help. Hopefully your approval comes soon though

This is the only way I can explain it. USCIS last updated their processing times for I-129F at CSC effective February 28, 2013. At that time they said they were working on July 18, 2012 petitions. Anything filed after July 18, 2012 would be considered "within normal processing times" according to USCIS. August 20 would be about 33 days after July 18, which is why she is telling you to call back then.

However, processing times on the website are updated about 45 days after the end of the month. So the update for the end of March, will likely be updated on the website near May 15. I expect that this update will still say that they are processing July 18 because they didn't make any real movement until the second week of April. They've been approving an unbelievable amount of petitions from July - October the past couple of weeks. The approvals are not following any kind of logical date order, so it is impossible to guess at this point when you might be receiving a response.

So there's my explanation. What they are doing doesn't make sense and isn't fair to a lot of people. I'm sorry that you're still waiting.
