"On April 25, 2013, your address was changed relating to the I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) that you filed".

That is what my status said. It is still on initial review but they updated my status from this "On October 5, 2012, we received this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case." to that one.

My fiance did not change his address or anything so I'm a little confused right now. :help:

Any response will be highly appreciated

This is highly means they touched your papers, and try calling USCIS regarding this update, because most of what I have read on this forum that, after they've got this kind of update the following day they got their NOA2...but not an assurance for that, except calling USCIS.

I hope you are right. I am looking for a thread with the same topic but all I see is a topic about Alien registration number. What is the difference between the two? Thank you

It means a change or update was done to your file. Call USCIS or your senator/congressman's office to find out or get help. At least you know that your file is out of the holding room and is in the Adjudication Division and an Adjudicator is looking at it or working on it since they took the time to update your status. Good luck. Hope to see your name on the latest 15 approved on Igor's list soon.

Alien registration number is usually changed when your petition is received and all it means is it was logged into the system

Address change seems to mean usually that an adjcator is working on your case and you should be receiving a response to your petition soon

We had the same notification last Friday & my fiancé called to check & they were useless - said nothing had changed on their system... Then why did we receive the notification?! Anyway I'd searched on VJ and seen lots of people that have been in the same situation before, some contacted soon after, some still heard nothing for months.

In our case, this Tuesday we received an RFE, booooooo, but the letter arrived on Thursday & it was a simple fix, so mailed it straight back, now hoping for a quick NOA2.

Best of luck & hope yours is good news soon, although frustrated to get an RFE, at least it's some sort of progress after 6 months of nothing!

I hope we will get an straight approval without RFE or any delays. I'm keeping my fingers crossed :)

Thank you for the response.

Hi! This is what we had when I checked our case few weeks ago after my fiance changed his address via call. He just moved to his new home and though it would be faster to just call them. So we got this "On April 25, 2013, your address was changed relating to the I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) that you filed". And 2 weeks after, we got approved. :)

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart

and lean not on your own understanding;

in all your ways submit to Him,
and He will make your paths straight.

In GOD we trust. † = ♥
