Good to know all you need to do is mention Ann Coulter's name and the raging 'tards on this section of the website go ballistic.

Which tards are you referring to? The ones that call her stupid dribble what it is, or the ones who actually think wearing a hijab warrants jail time?

Border is always open, maybe you should take your fellow Canadian leftists and step right back over that line. Obviously you aren't happy here.

What? Who said I wasn't happy here? What does my happiness have to do with this topic, though?

Should people whose political views you disagree with just move away? How very unAmerican of you..

the muslims come in and try to discuss it rationally and calmly

This is not always true. The right is sometimes brash I'll give you that but to say Muslim or people trying to support Muslims always discuss their side rationally and calmly is not true. I see name calling, intellect questioning, and everything else from both sides.

most muslims have too

Proof of that? This is a generalizing statement which will be seen if not meant to show that your side has more generalized knowledge of both religions combined with NO PROOF.

then the name calling starts, always by the person who swears Islam is the problem, and the thread is closed.

Once again, not always. This is why these arguments heat up and the thread gets closed. Each thinks they've completely figured everything out and therefore the other side is a "bigot" or "unamerican." before anything even gets discussed.

If our welfare is something that people strive for, we're doing it wrong.

I have yet to meet an immigrant that comes here to live off of welfare. The Cato Institute looked into this a while back and found that immigrants are much less likely to be on the dole than comparable Americans.

Contrary to those concerns, immigration to the United States does not pose a long-term burden on U.S. taxpayers. The typical immigrant and his or her descendants pay more in taxes than they consume in government services in terms of net present value. Low-skilled immigrants do impose a net cost on government, in particular on the state and local level, but those costs are often exaggerated by critics of immigration and are offset by broader benefits to the overall economy.

raging tards, huh. anne is that you?

Maybe I am!

Though I know I'm not the angry immigrant who came to a country they apparently don't like and then decides to sit on a visa website all day crying about America and how people are so mean!

Tell ya what, go move to Saudi Arabia or Somalia, I hear they treat women just fine =)

You have a Canadian flag on your profile. That's all he needs to know. You're now leftist scum. I'll let you ride with me back "over the line" to the promised land.

I didn't realize you should only move to America if you agree with Blob18's political views. I must have missed that in the visa instructions. :(

It's obvious you don't like it so leave. Sitting on a computer crying day in and day out about the "evil right" doesn't do anything other than make you look like a fool...which isn't hard for the left but bless your hearts you try anyway.

Talk to ya later! Unlike 90% of the liberals here, I make a living and don't take hand outs. Cya!

I also didn't realize you had to be a Republican to like living in America. I am learning a lot today. Thanks for taking the time to sit on the computer with us today.

well then anne, mind your business and worry about your own travel plans. i'm american and don't plan on moving, or doing anything to lessen my rattle on your nerves.

Every thread that has to do with Islam or muslims I have been in, WOM, myself, sandi, and a few others have been calm and tried to defuse an already tricky subject. I would link them as proof, but most of the have been closed or the bad stuff has been removed(I'll give you a hint, the name calling and insults weren't coming from us)

Proof of that? This is a generalizing statement which will be seen if not meant to show that your side has more generalized knowledge of both religions combined with NO PROOF.

I've read the bible, so has my wife and her family. Many muslims I have met read to gain knowledge, so maybe I should say the muslims I know.

The reason it can't be discussed is because you can't convince the other side that Islam isn't a religion of terror, no matter how hard you bring facts. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/402059-louisiana-police-ask-muslim-to-leave-subway-because-the-manager-is-scared-of-him/
