the term is generally given as in reference to those who refuse to accept that muslims of any stripe have ever done any behaviour outside of an accepted moral or legal standard or code, and who bristle at the mention of offense of any kind.

I think you're filling in a few blanks on your own there. If one doesn't blame ALL Muslims for 911 or terrorism or subscribe to the notion that Islam in itself incites Muslims to "kill the infidels", that doesn't mean that one thinks what you just wrote. There are humans existing in between the farthest points apart on different issues.

I'm not attacking you. I'm pointing out the fact that you see what you want to see. There's nobody here who's ever said or implied that Muslims are free of wrong-doing. Yet you think that's the case and that anyone who points out this wrong-doing is banned or some other nonsense. It's just not true.

I think the part that Ann Coulter is missing is that America doesn't have a monopoly on opportunities for success. Most people who have the background and skills to come to the US and be instantly successful and contributing could do so in many other countries and likely in their own country. Obviously some countries are mudholes, but even in mudholes the well connected and educated are doing well, usually. They aren't planning to leave.

With this said, she does bring up two good points. First, we need to have a tighter control on welfare payments in all forms, both to immigrants and natives. If our welfare is something that people strive for, we're doing it wrong. Second, we need to be more willing to kick criminals out. Violent felons should be deported and never allowed back. If they sneak back in, we should treat them as invaders.
