When do you know AOS will stay at NBC?

Hi everybody!

I am adjusting status from a K1 visa. I was wondering if anyone knows when can we assume that our case will be processed at NBC and won't be transferred to our local office (NYC). Our NOA is January 7th. Our online status says that they have received our response for RFE on January 25th. And that the case is being processed at the NBC. Does this mean it will stay at the NBC?

If it doesn't, after how many weeks/months can we assume that it won't be transferred to our local office?

Not sure, have you done your Biometrics yet? Usually, if you case is transferred to a local office after Biometrics, most people get an interview appointment letter within a few weeks of Biometrics.

if you do Biometrics and then don't hear anything after a month, I'd venture a guess that your case stayed with the NBC, but its' hard to say.

In our case, two weeks after Biometrics we got an interview appointment letter.

I did my biometrics at the end of January, and I received my EAD/AP combo card beginning of March. I guess we probably won't be transferred to the local office at this point.
