CSC received my RFe on june 5 and I have not heard back either

Thanks for your response, Adam, I guess we are in the same boat. Glad to hear that I am not the only person dealing with this long wait time. My only explanation is that we got really unlucky by getting a crappy officer to handle our cases.

I will continue to pray that we get our NOA2 this week. Good luck!

Sincerely,
Ramsey

Thank you so much Ramsey! Seeing your approval yesterday was the topping on the cake of a wonderful day for me :)

From this point forward, the advice I would give would be to look ahead at what is needed at the consulate. Do this by checking your consulate-specific information here on VJ and also look at the consulate website. You can fill out the I-134 form and the supporting documents and send all of that with your copies of I-129F package and RFE packages to your fiance now.

The DS forms can also be filled out now. It takes a couple of weeks for NVC to receive your file and send it off to the consulate. Before getting your civil document (police report and such) know how long they are valid for. In Morocco they are only for 2 months, so we waited until we had an interview date. But you can certianly look into the process to get them and find a translator that you can use.

The biggest advice I could give though, is to not worry or panic! We went through the Casablanca consulate and heard so many times that it can be horrible there and they deny so many fiance petitions and that we would be better off canceling the petition, getting married, and then trying for a spousal visa. This was not our experience at all! The consulate was very helpful in getting us an early interview date, and my fiance had a great experience there. The staff were nothing but friendly and respectful. There were times that we had allowed the stories of others to seriously effect our mood and attitude. But at the end of the day, there was nothing to worry about. It's only natural to be anxious; the CO's decision has a huge impact on the next year or so of your life. But try to breathe, relax, and look at the interview NOT as an opportunity for them to deny you, but as an opportunity to explain your relationship and convince them that you deserve this!

I am really happy for you and your fiance! Please let me know if you have any questions or anything along the way. Keep us all updated!

Hi Ramsey, Congrats!! I'm currently in Japan visiting my fiancee and got the email notice that you responded and I read the good news! It's been a journey but you are almost there. We slowed things down cause of this trip but will schedule the embassy interview soon. Our NVC to embassy step was fast. Aloha my friend!

Wooow, I couldn't thank you more for this wealth of information you've provided me, I really appreciate it. I will be doing a lot of research and reading right now regarding my consulate and exactly what is required. Luckily my fiance has a lot of free time on her hands now and can obtain all the documents required from her for the Beirut embassy.

We will try not to worry too much, I think our biggest worry was getting the NOA2, because I've heard from many members here that it really picks up after that and that we should get all our paperwork ready immediately. I spoke to my uncle regarding the consulate (he was a VJ member back in 2009) and he said it was very smooth, and that they respond to e-mails quickly and can accommodate an early interview date :) I hope he's right! It would be a blessing for my fiance and I if we could have an interview date 5 weeks after our NOA2, like your case! Even if it takes a little longer, it won't be a problem but I will be praying hard for a quick turnaround. I will keep you posted, thanks again for the advice & I hope you will be reunited with your fiance VEEEEEERY SOON star_smile.gif

Sincerely,
Ramsey

Thanks a bunch, Takeo ! I am definitely almost there and I'm so happy that your case has made so much progress, WOW, I was just checking your timeline and it looks like it was moving a lot faster than you were expecting, huh? It looks like it only took 2 weeks from NOA2 ---> Consulate received, that must be a record hehe so what is the Packet 3 and Packet 4? Is that regarding the AOS and my fiance's medical? Glad to hear you are in Japan with your loved one, that is very heart-warming, indeed. Aloha buddy ! Enjoy your summer vacation to the max :)

Sincerely,
Ramsey
