My friend is applying for citizenship in Atlanta and wanted to get an estimate of how long the process took from application to oath.

Jan 1999- F1 to USA

June 2006- AOS thru D.O.R.A.

Dec 2009- Oath. Finally a U.S Citizen

A long time!!! I sent my n400 forms at the beginning of June.... and had my oath ceremony on March 25th!

I could have had it in the middle of February, but I had to delay it because I was abroad.

Old and Grumpy....But an American Citizen!!!

That is a long time!! When I applied in 2009, I sent my application end of Aug 2009 and took oath beg of Dec 2009. Took harldy 4 months. And they had same day oath which I hear they have discontinued...
