is immigration a moral issue? they have no problem regulating that hot topic to death..

I'm convinced that's an attempt to maintain the current illegal immigrant low wage labor pool, gain votes, or most likely a combination of those two.

Well, in all fairness, I think both sides subscribe to that way of thinking.

For now they the majority. But America is fickle. Once they have one side for a bit, they miss the other. The next pres will be republican for sure.

But yeah I would think both sides covet the uninformed because they're the easiest to sway. Every time I hear how many people vote based on a candidates attractiveness I want to punch myself in the face. I don't think people should vote if they don't take time to formulate an opinion. I'd rather them not vote than vote based on physical attractiveness or something else equally dumb.

i seriously doubt the next president will be republican. unless its someone like chris christie

the thing about an individual's vote is that it is theirs to use however they wish. i voted for obama twice, even though i really can't stand him. romney and republican policy is a far worse scenario imo. my husband thinks i'm a complete *ss for not throwing my vote, he doesn't like the lesser of two evils approach. but, you know, he's canadian and doesn't have a vote to throw. stfu canadian, i'm murican!

Chris Christie isn't happening. He's so out of the picture. Not only has he worked and stood with the devil but he's also calling for more gun regulation in already tightly regulated New Jersey. His chances to run for President as a Republican are slim to none.

we need an independent president. doubt it will happen any time soon, but it's what we need. and a good healthy purge and flush of congress.

Plus he's not physically attractive enough to appeal to earlier referenced voters.

The first two thirds of the article have some merit. I agree that pure greed played a huge roll in both tragic events but this part is pure poppycock. The exemption of black powder tracing played no roll in the Boston bombing case.

Agreed.

Greed can always play a role in a tragedy, so can apathy and laziness.. If laws were being violated then it seems the problem is with enforcement.

Amazing that people can shoe horn their political bias into some of thee issues - "Free Market ideology".. So that is what did in Chernobyl.. I never knew.

I don't believe it.. Prove it to me and I still won't believe it. -Ford Prefect

I wish we could have an independent president, but our country is just too easily pushed into the sheep mentality to follow one or the other and give no thought to anyone not on their "team". I have always been a fan of term limits for Congress, in the theory that you could stop having lifetime politicians who are easily bought by corporations and are only concerned with re-election. But that would take the politics out of politics.

Wonder who Republicans will put up against Hilary in 2016...

Thery have term limits in the state legislature here in the sunshine state and this is one of the most corrupt bunches in the nation. Term limits don't prevent polticians from being up for sale.

Q. What do you call an ex-congressman?

A. Lobbyist

Term limits may turn out to be a good thing for them. They can really make the big bucks when their term(s) expires.

There's no reason to believe that the next President will be a Republican. None at all. It would need to be a pretty amazing candidate to get the voting groups that Obama did (latinos, women, youth, LGBT, etc)

They can't focus on the older white men anymore. They need to branch out. If not, it'll be another loss.
