  • you will be standing a very long time - wear comfy shoes
  • the consulate is not air conditioned, dress accordingly

i only did the DS forms in English. the vaccines are not required but its just easier to get them done at consultorios de visa that way they are sent straight to the consulate. we got the birth certificate & police certificates translated but they didn't ask for the translations so i didn't give it to them.

no, they sent them over but take the receipts & proof of vaccinations just in case your results don't reach the consulate in time

thank you so much for your information especially question to review, we were denied June 27,2011, and my case was just reaffirmed last Friday and sent to NVC for further possessing...I'm currently just waiting for a new interview and very nervous about the questions as that why they denied us in the beginning. When I get home i'm going to add the ones the sent me in our denial letter if you dont mind to help anyone else that may be in need going to the Dominican Embassy. :)

they ask you questions about sex??? ####### i guess it makes sense since you are at a high risk/fraud consulate but still #######

They Do???? I was denied and am waiting for my next interview. Our case was just reaffirmed last week ... They asked us if when we had sex the last time were the lights on or off??? thats one i can remember....

can someone chime in here? this seems all a bit to strange. would they ask this in warsaw? i read countless warsaw interviews and most of them were a few questions about how we met and what we will do and they were done... wth is this talk about kinky sex??

Posted

the Dominican Republic is an EXTREMELY high fraud country. if the consular officer suspects you of fraud they will question you harshly - maybe even interview you separately. This actually happened to me & not only was I asked about sex, the consular officer made insulting implications. I posted this specifically for ppl who will be processed through the Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. I compiled this list of questions from (Dominican) reviews I read here on VJ. Besides, it doesn't hurt to be extra prepared - the confidence that comes with practice calms the nerves (in my opinion)
