Back to topic. How do you propose to deal with the enemies of the US in a way that there is no loss of innocent life?

Spitballs have been proven highly affective.

No points of development matter cus it's still opinion.

Viability is NOT opinion. It's fact. Some may chose to ignore it but it is still a fact that a fetus at 20 weeks is not viable. You can believe anything you want but a 20 week old fetus removed from the womb is dead. No believe or opinion is going to change that. Period.

Back to topic. How do you propose to deal with the enemies of the US in a way that there is no loss of innocent life? Should we have accepted Pearl Harbor since attacking Japan would and did cause a massive loss of civilian life? Should we not fight for anything at all? Talk to me.

Japan attacked us, we fought back. No problem with that. We have drones bomb Pakistan. When did Pakistan attack us? we have drones bomb Yemen. When did Yemen attack us?

Is that how you spell fetus in Canada, too? I know in most non-American countries, it's foetus.

Sorry for the off-topic, but it's curious. Rationalise, colour, but not gaol or tyre, right?

I've seen fetus spelled both ways in Canada. I'm not sure which one's more popular.

I believe rationalize is more common in Canada than the 'se' ending. We've adapted the American spelling for words like that. But yes, favour colour labour, etc .. all OU.

I'm not sure what gaol or tyre is, so those aren't Canadian spellings.

I know it's not. But whether or not you believe a life begins at conception is. It's like trying to disprove God. Remember that many people believe that God sparked them and everyone into life. They don't care about stages of development.

Sorry to be off topic people!!!

I was also waiting for duraa to explain what terror the US used against Japan

And that is perfectly fine. People are free to believe what they want. But that cuts both ways. Thus, you don't legislate based on belief because once you do, people are no longer free to believe what they want. That is why I am pro choice even though I believe that abortions are a terrible thing.

I used to see foetus in the English papers in Thailand. I thought it was the Thais not knowing how to spell.

You can click on the 'X' to the right to ignore this signature.

Gaol is jail?! What in the world.

It is wonky because American spellings for things carry over, but then there are certain words where we stick to what the rest of the world uses. We have an identity crisis.

Not legislating based on religious beliefs is impossible. It's too ingrained into people's core. Try to run as an atheist and see what happens. I too am prochoice just not necessarily the same reasons you are. Maybe we should start a thread neigh?

Gaol is the British spelling, yeah.

If spelling (and measurements) could be standardised/standardized, it would be really great.

Most of East Asia seems to be quite good on not legislating based on religious beliefs. Specifically, the parts I've been to (Japan, Mongolia).

I don't think that is true. Most legislation is not based on religious belief; the grandstanding garbage passed by this and the last House of Representatives notwithstanding.

Aye.
