Last week, millions watched as an entire city was shut down to look for one guy. Every major news station was covering the pursuit of one guy. We all know the face and relatives of this one guy. And it's all because he is an alleged terrorist. But more American were murdered in the south and west sides of Chicago than there were U.S. servicemen killed in Afghanistan last year, and yet for some reason we don't view those neighborhoods as terrorized.

Because it is ground Zero of the failed socialist democratic agenda. Chicago is everything the Obama admin stands for and is the net result of years of liberal leadership.

I love it when they write articles like that. Anyone with one and and half sense knowswhat would happen if we moved into those neighborhoods in force and started cracking heads and locking gang bangers up.

There would be an out cry from Jesse and Al like never seen. The ACLU would be filing law suit after law suit. There would be a picture of some rosy cheek 13 year old that got arrested by accident. V J P and R libs would be foaming at the mouth....

If you want to get rid of the gangs, you have to do a few things. The first thing is to eliminate the demand for the drugs that drives the economy of the gangs. Second, you have to provide enough opportunity for the youth to earn a living for themselves and families.

One of the successful ways to deal with prostitution is to go after the johns, instead of the prostitutes. Those sting operations where a decoy finds some guy soliciting for sex, then putting his picture in the local newspaper, pretty much shut down guys cruising the area looking for prostitutes.

Do the same thing for drugs. When some white bread from suburbia cruises into the wrong part of town looking for drugs, you make sure he is stigmatized for the rest of his life. That ####### will end.

You may think the problem is more than that. Maybe. But the inner city neighborhoods don't have the cash flow to support all that drug traffic. I bet a major portion of those customers are coming from the more affluent areas.

the war on terror creates terrorists. the war on drugs creates criminal addicts. both fail miserably. i'm not talking about public demand, i'm talking about the effects of current policy.

You know, it's funny. The first time I ever smoked a cigarette, it was because I was finally the legal age to do it, so I wanted to know what was banned for so long when I was too young.

I think making it banned just makes young people want to do it more.

Perhaps if we allow tobacco and alcohol to everyone, and start banning cauliflower (but not enforcing it too heavily,) we'll get a lot more healthy kids, a lot less young people drinking, and a lot less young people smoking.

Oh please, when did the conservatives step in and try to help. This was way before him, and sorry if black folks don't get the warm and fuzzy from the GOP. They've let us know how they feel for quite a while now.

"The black folks" (your words) are on a downward spiral of dependence while being told it is the rise to independence and in this delusion view help as a free handout and reject all other possibilities. You, yourself, for example, were seen to complain when the right to self defense is offered or "marketed" (your words) to the "black folks" as if this is not a god-given right for everyone, no matter how rich or poor or no matter what background or race to equally exercise.
