Just when I started to get excited about my wife (USC) coming back to live with me for next 3-4 months (in India), I heard from someone that she cannot live for so long as I need to show her source of income from past 6 months to the consular before I approach for interview. Please clarify me if my partner can live with me in India or will she have to go back in few weeks to work there and show the source of income? Confused

she will eventually have to file an affidavit of support which will include how much she earns or has in savings.. for a 130 this will be at the nvc stage.. plenty of threads about this out there if you search for it

Thanks for the quick reply bro, She is still pursuing her college as a full time student and she is coming to me taking a semester off, can her parents act as joint sponsors? please let us know what are the various options when she is still a student. Thanks in advance.

Yes, if you have a joint sponsor you should be fine.

Thanks for the reply again, One more question, will it impact my CR1 application in any sort if my wife comes to live with me for 3-4 months in India? her parents sponsoring her should not be a problem though.

It will be a positive thing as long as you have a co-sponsor, because time spent together looks good on your application and shows you are serious about the marriage.
