Today I've checked the case status and it was updated yesterday to the following:

On April 23, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E).

I've received NOA1 from CSC on August 10th, 2012. So, after more than 8 months we've got an update. Does this mean we will get approval soon?

Is there any statistic on how long it takes to get approval after receiving this kind of update?

11/05/2013 - Arrived in San Antonio

Adjustment of Status

04/25/2014 - AOS packaged mailed to Chicago Lock Box.

05/15/2014 - NoA1 received for Aos and EA. AP rejected.

06/16/2014 - Biometrics appointment

07/07/2014 - EA card now in production.

07/10/2014 - EA Card received. YAY JOB HUNTING

08/13/2014 - Letter received staging possible interview waiver and no action for antoher 6 months

03/03/2015 - Apparently we are still within normal processing times and need to wait 87 days

04/27/2015 - RFE - Renew medical, Send some other documents

05/04/2015 - Medical redone

05/07/2015 - RFE request sent back to USCIS

05/08/2015 - RFE request received at USCIS

05/11/2015 - Green card IN PRODUCTION!!!!

05/11/2015 - Welcome letter Mailed!

05/14/2015 - Welcome Letter Received

05/18/2015 - Green Card Received!! FINALLY!!!!

The uscis received my letter packet on April 16,2013 and got my case number through email and text on April 19th 2013... As of yesturday Mine also says:

" On April 23, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I-129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)."

My uncle last year filed for a I-129f and got approved within 5 weeks as to what he said.... B

My Uncle Petition his Fiancee lastyear and a half ago and got his second NOA2 notice within 5weeks...as to what he said. I wont be expecting anything and trying to keep my hopes up but... i want to know what does this mean???

I see some people on VJ get their notice after seeing this....

Today i called the USCIS and was a wait of 66 minutes on hold so i chose for them to call back option. An hour later they called and said that its an Alien number given to your fiancee on your documents... so if they give my fiancee an Alien number could this be a process of getting an NOA2 soon? They told me it would not be judicated for another 5months... Im not sure if i should believe them because i know other people got notices sooner than 5 months of wait. Someone please let me know what does the ALIEN REGISTRATION NUMBER CHANGE MEAM? Thanks all

I really hope so! It's being way too much wait. In about 2 weeks it would be 9 month.

Last year my friend got his fiancee visa pretty fast. I see that the whole hold up started last summer.

Per other posts on VJ it seems that some people got their NOA2 soon after this type of notice, others took longer, so no exact time frame i can see.

Yea i herd that they closed down for about 4 months during the summer if its true... But i hope for the both of us that if it is true about the Alien number being change, I hope that we get our message that we have been waiting for to hear really soon. I also heard on VJ that it could be a system glitch but i would highly thing that is very unprofessional coming from a government system. But i hope thats not the case. I will hope for the best of us and for those who got their Alien number changed these last few days.

Well, if it would be like a 2 weeks and I've got this notice, then I may think it is a glitch, but it can't happen that often. Now after 8.5 month i assume they actually started to work on my case, especially after I've sent the request to congressman to make an inquiry to USCIS. I'm so glad to see some movement.

I'm so happy now. We've got approval today!!!

On April 24, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.
