Should I file for the I-131 after sending in the AOS package w/o it?

I just want to hear the thought of everyone here. You can look at my signature and timeline to see where i am in the process? Is there any known advantages/disadvantages to doing it this way? Will I get a combo card or separate? And will it hold up anything? Waiting to get my hardcopy NOAs now :-)

Did you send in the I-765?? I ask because if you didn't, you will definitely only receive a paper Advance Parole.

It shouldn't hold up the rest of your application. Be sure to send it in with your other NOA so that it will be free. I don't really see any disadvantage, other than there is a real possibility that your Green Card will be approved before your AP.

No you can file, but you need NOA1 from I-485 to do so. There is never a guarantee that you will get a combo card. What 3 forms did you get a text about?

As stated, you can file an I-131 after filing for AoS once you have received your I-485 NOA in the mail (since you need to submit a copy of that NOA with your I-131 for there to be no charge for it).

Submitting it early might mean you still receive a combo EAD / AP card; alternatively you may just receive a normal EAD (it will be marked "Not valid for re-entry to U.S.") and a paper AP. The paper AP is just as valid as the combo card.

Thanks, decided I'm gonna send it off the day I get my NOA for I-485. You rock! Aside from NOA, what else should I include in this package?
