You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. im kinda wary why did they transfer the I129F to california service center??? is this a positive sign or what???

Beginning October 23, 2006, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) National Benefits Center (NBC) began transferring Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e), (petitions for K-3-spouses of U.S. citizens only), to the California Service Center (CSC) and the Vermont Service Center (VSC), depending on the location of the related Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative. This transfer is being implemented in preparation for Phase 3 of the USCIS initiative to use centralized filing and bi-specialized adjudication. Through this Bi-Specialization effort, USCIS continues to align similar workloads between two “sister” service centers, CSC and VSC, to better manage cases and improve customer service.

USCIS will continue to forward approved Form I-129F (K-3) petitions to the National Visa Center (NVC) for consular processing. However, it will retain approved Form I-130 petitions, based upon a mutual agreement with the Department of State. USCIS will retain all approved Forms I-130 for retrieval upon the beneficiary’s eventual application for adjustment of status (Form I-485), unless the petitioner clearly indicates on Form I-130 that the beneficiary will use the consular process. USCIS will store approved Form I-130 petitions at its National Record Center (NRC).

It's normal and to be expected when filing with any service center except Vermont.

OOHHH!!! thanks for this info!!! but my question is... how long am i going to wait for the approval??? errrmmm...im just worried or maybe im being too impatient...

Oh yes that is normal. They tell you to follow instructions. I sent mine to Nebraska and they fowarded it to California.

Your I-129F? I thought that all I-129F's for K3s are supposed to be sent to Chicago initially? Edited December 1, 2006 by misa

All K3 petitions are mailed to Chicago, and then they used to be immediately forwaded to Nebraska for processing. Now Nebraska is sending them out to California and Vermont for the "faster processing."

I received an email from CRIS this morning informing me that our I-129F has been transferred to CSC and it did made me panic coz i was thinking that Missourri/NBC will be the one to handle the process then forward it to NVC..I was informed beforehand that ours was in Missourri Service Center after my husband mailed it to Chicago and then here comes another transfer.

now atleast I know this is just normal..whew!

GGOD NEWS GUYS!!!!! My I-129f and I-130 got approved on November 28. The case status online is not update!!!!!!
