This is very likely a cause of "LeftCoastLady is old and doesn't remember things correctly," but wasn't there a way to edit your timeline once you clicked on "My Timeline" within your profile area? Right now, if I click on my profile, then click on the timeline link, it goes to the timeline page, but there isn't an edit function. Instead, I have to click on the "Immigrations Timelines" in the header to get to the timeline functions area to allow me to make updates.

In the event I am mis-remembering and it was always this way, can this be made less cumbersome? If I'm logged in, shouldn't my timeline -- which is tied to this username/account -- show as editable whenever I visit it?

Yep, I'm currently logged in on my Windows machine and don't see the edit. Didn't see it last night when I logged in from my Macbook, either.

That works fine, however, that link isn't an option from my profile area. I can also click on the Immigration Timelines in the header, but as I mentioned, make it less cumbersome. If I'm logged in, an edit should appear when I access the Timeline page. Ideally, I shouldn't have to go on a hunt to make an update when it's all housed in the box under my username in the top right.

So when you click on your name on the top right and select "my timeline" from the dropdown, you do NOT see the edit function when it takes you to your timeline?

I am using my PC, firefox and I see it. Maybe you need to refresh or clear your cache or something?

I intentionally tried it on both Mac and PC to see if I would encounter the issue. On my Windows machine using Chrome, there isn't an edit function available. I made sure the VJ site was cleared from my history so it would pull down the previously-stored content again and prompt me to login again.

However, I'm now logged in on my Mac using Chrome and do see it, which is odd since my Mac is for personal use and is where I primarily log in to this site. It's not a showstopper, but just something nitpicky.

I am using Chrome (Windows 7) and when I go to My Timeline, it show the edit/add function right there in that dashed box under our names.

You guys... I'm all for change but...

1) I used to have the option of 'not showing other people's profile pictures on the forums' and I liked that option because of its less-cluttered feel.

2) Some notification options are grayed out, as in, are the default and will I not be able to get them on my 'notifications' like I used to. It feels like the system unsubscribed me from my forums...

I already cleared my cache...

Trust me, I love hanging out around here, and I log in every day. I even click on some ads here and there...

Can somebody help me with these settings? star_smile.gif

We defaulted the topic/forum subscription notifications to email only however I could potentially change that. There were a few bugs so I had to do that.

I am going to try and see if I can track the timeline issue down. Sounds like something on our end -- if so I will try to find it.
