i have movie stubs and ice skating tickets and also train tickets that are completely in polish that i plan to submit in conjuction with CC and ATM statements and pictures and hotel reciepts to prove that we were in fact together in those various places but the tickets and such are in polish, should i scan then and writet he transtaion in ink next to the tickets? or what should i do?

For the initial petition, it's best to translate everything. You can do it yourself with a pen and a copy machine, like you said. For the interview, you'll need a translation of just the official documents, generally.

I think for the non-official documents it's just a matter of ensuring that the USCIS officer understands the evidence you are presenting. Since everything I sent in was photocopied, I wrote explanations in the margins describing the evidence, even when the receipts were in English. I wanted it to be as easy as possible for the officer to approve my petition with no room for questions. For the official documents you have to have translations.

We didn't translate anything, but the main evidence were air itineraries with names on it, for hotel receipts, all I think mattered was that the stationary had "Hotel Matejko" in the heading and our names were in there. We really didn't put much documentation. Warsaw is a relatively 'easy' embassy post. Esentially, Why would a Polish want to commit fraud comming to the US when they could go anywhere in the Union with no complications??

I didn't translate anything either. I counted on the intelligence of USCIS officers. If I send them postcards with postal stamps why would they need explanations of what they are?

Warsaw is a relatively 'easy' embassy post. Esentially, Why would a Polish want to commit fraud comming to the US when they could go anywhere in the Union with no complications??

You see, this is my way of thinking. This is how I feel about current situation in European Union. But the USA still think they are the best place on Earth to live in, a true Promised Land, and they haven't adjusted their point of view

You can and should translate things, but I am not sure that movie tickets show much. Since they don't have names on them (unless they do in Poland) then they only show that two people went to the movies - it doesn't say show that those people were you. It doesn't show that you met, so I would just skip them altogether.

i have on my Credit card bill the same date and time and amount of money that i bought those tickets so it shows that i bought them and 2 people went to the movies in POLAND, its to show that i was in poland and that atleast to show someone was with me. i rather send it than not, more evidence is better than less i think. and more proof that i was there with someone else is good i think that along with our pictures and bank statements showing withdrawals a few streets away from her home should put some common sense to CO that i was where i said i was. its pretty hard to show them that 2 people were together using CC statements and passport stamps, IMO pictures are the number one proof they should be looking for, but i digress. :\
