hi there,

to those who are on a spousal visa petition, can i ask if you sent the documents to your husband (petitioner) twice for submission to USCIS and the other one for NVC?

have anyone here resubmit a NBI clearance to the NVC or just here at our US embassy (because the one my husband sent them already expired february 2013)? our approved date was 3/1/2013

iv fee will be paid today, how long will it takes for us to have the copy of their instruction?

do i need to send the DS230 to my husband as well as the other documents required to submit or they will be needing it at the Phil. US embassy and not the NVC?

many thanks :)

The way we did our IR-1 at this stage was, my wife sent all documents to me by FedEx, I scanned all for our record, and then I mailed all to NVC by certified and registered Priority Mail.

Below is the list of Documents to send to NVC at the DS-230 stage for Philippine Beneficiary:

•Two (2) 2 inch X 2 Inch (51mm X 51mm) Passport Size Photographs of Beneficiary (beneficiary’s full name, date of birth and NVC Case Number written on back of both)

•DS-230 Part 1 completed and signed by beneficiary

•DS-230 Part 2 completed by beneficiary – unsigned, as of yet, per instructions

•Photocopy of the Biographic Data Page(s) of Beneficiary’s Passport

•Birth Certificate of beneficiary issued by Philippine NSO - Original and a photocopy

•Certificate of Marriage issued by Philippine NSO - Original and a photocopy

•Advisory on Marriages issued by Philippine NSO - Original and a photocopy

•Annotated Certificate of Marriage issued by Philippine NSO showing annulment - if applicable - Original and a photocopy.

•Philippine National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) clearance certificate - Original and a photocopy

•Police Clearances from other countries - if applicable

Hope this helps

We never received any instructions, Never received any packets from NVC other than links to USCIS websites where to find the information with the AOS and IV fee bills. We just followed the instructions found here on VJ and the USCIS website links. For us it was a kinda do it yourself type thingy if you want to get it done. But that was just how it was for us, maybe someone else can chime in that was different for in the past year.

I think there in the Philippines you call this the CENOMAR and at times referred to as CEMAR that you get from the NSO.

Yes, bring original CEMAR. Get a new one from NSO. You need to fill out the application for CENOMAR but since you're already married, they will give you the CEMAR (Advisory on Marriages).

Get a new NBI clearance too.

These docs are to be submitted to NVC together with your DS-230 form.

And do not forget to send a photocopy of each along with the originals to the NVC as it is required also. just xerox them or scan them and print the photocopies.
