Our I-130 application was sent to the National Benefits Center and presumably routed to the Philly office, which seemed to be something of an unknown. It turns out to be a good thing. I got a letter today that USCIS has approved the petition. (I'm in China and have only seen the online summary.) Only 62 days. Woo hoo!

An update: It's the old hurry-up-and-wait routine. It took USCIS almost as long to send the file to NVC as it took to review it. NOA2 was on 4/17. The file arrived at NVC on 5/20.

NVC has the file, but hasn't entered it into their system yet so still no NVC case number. They said another 10 to 20 working days before we'll have a case number.

For what it's worth, a couple of the NVC operators told me they are seeing a large number of cases delayed more than the standard 15 working days at present so the delay is fairly normal.
