American IPA are the win. I could talk a while on the good folks at dogfish head.

But I find Canadian domestics (especially the fake IPA Alexander Keith's) to be MUCH better than American Domestics. Prices will destroy your pocket though.......

i am a craft beer elitist. the top selling american domestics are all gross, i won't drink them. i want high alcohol and crazy hops. everything else is a waste of money.

alcohol prices are crazy in BC, Canada. you can't get alcohol from grocery stores etc.... you have to go to these government run stores

I don't know how it is now, but in Quebec you used to have to go to the SAQ for liquor, which I believe is govt. run. You could buy beer anywhere. I think Ontario they have govt. run places called "the beer store" or something generic like that.

you can buy beer anywhere in quebec but the selection of what's available for sale is controlled by the government.

No Marlboros either. I think that was some govt. thing as well.

especially groceries. a pack of chicken can cost around 10 bucks up there and down here I can get the same pack of chicken for $5 bucks or less.. :o

I've noticed that the general rule for anything sold in Canada is that it costs twice as much as in the States.

I am pretty sure you can't even get beer anywhere in BC besides the government run stores.. but I could be wrong. I am not a beer drinker..

It was that way in Ontario. Only from the beer store or LCBO. Both govt run. Some provinces allow it to be sold in other places.

Oh come on, you can't tell me you don't enjoy an occasional Alexander Keith's or Sleeman Ale.

Plattsburgh, NY was only an hour away. I'd take a trip there every weekend to get smokes and some Taco Bell. Another thing they didn't have in Quebec. I remember once seeing a Taco Bell in Singapore and I was so happy. I went up to the counter to order, and the place was being run by Indians. No beef! It was all chicken. Big disappointment. Sorry to go OT.

I lived in countries without Taco Bell. I once remember discovering that there was a taco bell near me, in some kind of hidden location, and going there. I made my order, unwrapped the taco, started to take a bite, and woke up :P

What would Xenu do?

The chicken burrito is pretty decent.
