If it weren't for my job, I'd move to Canada with my wife in a split second. There is absolutely nothing in the US that I can't get in Canada, and for the most part I find it to be a cleaner and more friendly place to live. The only thing keeping us here is my job, period. I've got 20 years in this company and I have accomplished quie a bit since being here.

That sums it up for me. If I could make what I'm making here somewhere else, I'd be gone. My dislike for living here has me focused on saving as much as possible, as quickly as possible, so I can leave as soon as possible.

Quebec is THE only good thing about Canada. Otherwise it's basically the 51st state.

So, in summary, it all comes down to someone's point of view. What's best for them, and the ones they love, overall. Obviously, if someone thinks they have a better choice abroad, they will go.

American IPA are the win. I could talk a while on the good folks at dogfish head.

But I find Canadian domestics (especially the fake IPA Alexander Keith's) to be MUCH better than American Domestics. Prices will destroy your pocket though.......

Not true, Toronto (and from what I hear Vancouver) Asian markets/restaurants are the win. My wife used to take me to TNT (asian Market). So much fresh seafood and produce and so cheap.

alcohol prices are crazy in BC, Canada. you can't get alcohol from grocery stores etc.... you have to go to these government run stores
