Hi vj family.

This is my story. I came to the USA in may 2012 with a waiver visa

I got married on August 14th 2012. Immigration received my papers on September 5 2012. I had a few weeks later my fingerprint appointment. Then I got my work permission card and my Ssn on November 24th.

Our interview was January 10th 2013. Everything went well with the interview. All basic questions. Nothing to worry about. At the end of the interview the io told us that we will hear something in 4 weeks. . BUT after the interview I have not heard anything. We did 2 service requests. And 2 info pass appointment with no results. We don't know what to do!! It's now almost four months after our interview. Nothing yet!!!

So is this normal? We don't know what to do! Anybody with the same experience!? Please advice.

Wait.... all there is to do is.... Wait....

Congressman or woman will only tell you that they will get to it when they get to it....

There are lots of people waiting that have filed their AOS way before you did.

But there is a light in the tunnel... a July and an August filer just got their approval...

If you filed in August or anytime time thereafter, your file will sit at NBC if no interview is required.

You had an interview... maybe they needed to see you.... maybe they needed answers and wanted them in person...

As far as determination or final adjudication goes, it will happen.... when.... no one ever knows....

Some people are quickly approved at the interview, or shortly thereafter.... but like you.... sometimes it may take a longer period of time to know the answer....

So... relax, enjoy life and it will happen.... but not as quickly we all wish it could happen....

By the way, please complete your "Timeline"

This will help others.... :)

Good Luck!

Hi guys I'm in the same boat like you.i have some question about my case specially who has been dealing such a hard immigration process.

Here is our case in order

September/15/2010 got married

January/25/2012 AOS package sent out

February/6/2012 NOA was in mail

August /17/2012 biometric is done

March/4/2013 interview is done(it was good)

As you see above it's been 1 year 4 months since we sent petition still no final desicion.after the interview officer told that we will hear something in mail 6 or 8 weeks if we don't hear anything officer said give us call.I called the immigration which number is start 800 something and than I got a letter a week later.it says"sorry for delay but we can't provide the certain day when your desicion will be made for I-485"that's all.Another thing is we are living in kodiak/Alaska it's island there is no immigration office here we should go to anchorage for infopass and it costs 600 bucks each visit and I never did it..

That's my story guys please any advice, comment or help will be appreciated.

My best wishes for all of you...thank you
