SLEC sputum?

How much time they usually spend in slec for sputum collection? Are they out of the building around 10am? What hotel are they staying in? We used hotel soriente for their 2-day check up. According to my sister, it wasnt that nice in there so i'm thinking to go to city garden suite.

My parents stayed in Casa Bogobo. Nothing fancy. But it is a 2 min walk to SLEC. I booked them through Asiatravel site. They have 12% to 25 % discount from April to Dec for some rooms. It is way cheaper to booked through travel/hotel booking sites compared to directly booking them from the hotel website.

It depends. Could take up to 2hrs or less. Mom told me the first day of the sputum test was really busy that took almost 2hrs. My Parents stay at our relatives in Makati, They just need to be so early everytime to cope up with their appointment at SLEC.

After the 3-day sputum test, result came back negative for both of them. Doc, noticed a deformity on her lungs but no scar that could suggest TB or something. She told them nagka osteoporosis sya before kya mejo na push ng konte ang lungs nya. Thank God! But I still keep praying that everything's gonna be fine after the 8-week culture test, (June 25-27).

Glad to hear that the result of the smear tests turned out negative. When did they get the results? On the 3rd day or the 4th day? Coz I only booked a 3-day stay in a hotel for my parents. I thought 3 days is all they need.

I have read here in the forum the 4th day should be the pulmonary evaluation/result, But since my parents asked for a consideration, they released the results on the 3rd day at 3:00pm.

after reading all your post, definitely I will undergo the sputum test and have to wait because I have scar in my lungs. Anyway I just want to know if I can go to Slec and have medical without the appoinment letter? our case is already in NVC we will call them by monday to know the if they have it already.

It's better to do your medical exam as early as possible. Once NVC provides you with the MNL case number, you can have your medical exam even without the appointment letter. Good luck

Today is exactly the 7th week of my parents' culture exam. They called SLEC this morning to check if the results are in. She was told results are not available yet, and was advised to call back Friday next week. Hoping for the negative results.

Hi! I just just want to as when will you know if you will undergo a sputum test? Is it on the first day of medical exam or 2nd day? I was done with my first day of medical exam today. They just gave me a slip to present to the guard tomorrow. THANK YOU!!!

Hi i ha a problem, now is the 6weeks of my waiting in culture results and one lady called me from slec that they will extend another week so instead of 8 weeks will be 9 weeks. she said something grows in my sputum and they want to make sure that is not a tb.

i am worried and losing hope. is anyone here experienced the same please give me advised, is there any chance to be negative?

They are just making sure that you do not have TB. Relax. There's nothing you can do! You'll have to wait.
