thank you, I have to say I was totally floored when I saw I was approved :).. no onto the next confusion lol

your office unfortunately doesn't look all that great, but at least you are coming up on your 3 month mark. I went down for an infopass to confirm my file was there and see how they were doing.. not that it had anything to do with it, but I was approved less than a week later. either way, I highly recommend the infopass, it was very informative

here is the link to your office: http://dashboard.uscis.gov/index.cfm?formtype=4&office=26&charttype=1

Thanks! I've noticed others who, like you, had infopass appointments and went on to get approvals shortly. Will have to send my wife marching to the office then :)

Cheers!

Just checked my Case Status today and found I've been approved. I guess I'm just lucky ... My NOA1 was Feb 21. I'm so happy we've been approved.

Congratulation!!

Yep. I've got my NOA1 Feb 1st and still waiting to hear from USCIS.

My local office (not confirmed if its there) would be Washington DC. Not expecting anything for another month due to their heavy workload.

OP, congratulations on your approval! :):) Do keep us updated on your NVC journey.

In the same boat here. My NOA1 is Jan 30 and still waiting. And I have the good luck of Newark being my local office...they currently have over 8,000 I-130s. Don't know if my case was transferred there yet, but looks like I shouldn't hope for approval anytime soon.

But congrats to the OP. At least some people are getting approved.

At wash dc we have around 6.5k which is just as bad. ipIll wait till end of May to hear back and if I don't, will setup infopass appt for my wife.

Those towns w 200 applications make me jelly at times :)) I think they're the ones who get approved in 30-50 days.

Oh well. I guess we are practicing patience.

Cheers

If she does it in the UK, the cost is £72.50.

In the US via Washington, DC the cost is $244 and takes about 4 weeks.

The greencard will be issued in the name used on the applications to USCIS/NVC. Many people continue to use a maiden name passport and book ticket in the passport name. They carry a copy of the marriage certificate to show why the name is different on the greencard when they re-enter the US.

So that means that if all the applications are in my married name the green card will be too ?? ... I was under the impression that the green card would be in the name on the visa, and the visa must be the same as the name on the passport that it is in...
