Interesting.I thought you went online to schedule interview date. I didn't know they automatically emailed it. The approval is only good for 4 months. Scarey to think it could expire before the interview. But that's mot likely to happen is it? Ours is at nvc. Do I just wait for an email or do I call them?

K1 filers schedule their interviews online.

Also that's an untrue statement about expiry. You can delay your petition a year after approval at NVC. Gosh if that was true about the 4 months there would be a lot of chaos right now at NVC with petitions taking over 60 days just to get there.

These are IR1/CR1 they don't expire. So no worries there.

Also just a note, since January NVC has been starting interview scheduling almost starting the 1st of month and it goes by Case Complete order. (Check out the interview thread NDU26 mentioned). I know the Embassy is way under staff and not many IR1/CR1 interviews per day.

So just hang on next month is almost here.

And as NDU26 said the P4 interview email has been rapid fast. I was on phone with NVC and it was already sent the lady said 20 minutes before I had called.

Its depending how fast and bad you want to know. Daily, every other day, weekly calls. I liked calling them so it was no bother for me.

I'm hoping our interview is delayed a bit. Opposite of everyone else. But we still have a couple of loose ends to tie up. I know God knows the perfect time for us. So I'm putting my faith in that.

09/26/2012: Mailed I-130 from Nigeria( delayed by customs)
USCIS stage ( 66 days)
10/12/2012: NOA 1
12/17/2012: NOA 2 (case was transferred to NYC office 11/27/12)
NVC stage ( 20 days)
01/08/2013: Case # and IIN assigned ( file arrived NVC mail room 12/20/12)
01/09/2013: AOS invoiced and paid, DS-3032 emailed and mailed.
01/16/2013: IV invoiced &paid. AOS & IV mailed in one package(arrived 01/18).
01/28/2013: Case complete!!!
04/19/2013: Interview; APPROVED!!!!!
05/13/2013: POE; JFK
