As usual u are not reading, you in your own little world.

As per current policy his clothing was not in violation.

I'm not in my own little world at all. You're screaming about freedom of speech. I'm telling you that it doesn't mean what you think it means.

Actually, I don't know about this issue. I'll explain what I mean.

Muslim children and Sikh children are allowed to wear their religious attire to class. I think that in some settings, these things could cause an equally large disturbance as the NRA shirt this boy was wearing (due to the ignorance of people blaming terrorist attacks on a religion, or on all people who wear turbans, etc.)

What a wise teacher would do is not to ask the kids to remove their religious clothing. It would be to address the reason it is causing a disturbance, have a discussion, and put it behind them. Why not take the same approach with this shirt? He is welcome to wear his views on this issue, don't let it cause a disturbance. If he had the NRA logo tattooed onto his forehead, would they require him to get a tattoo removal done?

Not sure about the incident but were they arrested?

Were they violating the school policy?

You would be ok if you or your family members were arrested while exercising your rights?

OH yeah now we get the speech on how safe Mass is. Again.

Go ahead - make him remove his NRA shirt. Cheer. Sooner or later, the free speech police will clamp down on something the rest of you care about.

i don't get it.

The point I was making was that there's always a first time for violence to happen.

It was nothing but show of power, since they could not book him more or likely they booked him for resisting.

If you are not aware most police dept use this tactic and later on in most cases the charges are dropped.

Power is so cool !

Let's see what happened, aye?

His mother and/or father signed the dress code manual at the beginning of the year,

so the power was transferred from the school to the parent.

Then the parent failed to assert his/her power, and wore the shirt to school.

More power kicks in, and he's suspended due to a dress code violation. But - he was given a chance to change it before that 'ruling' was made.

Tempus Fugit...

Tis a new week, Son goes off to school again with the exact same t-shirt.

Again, the parent failed to assert his/her power, and the kid wore the shirt to school.

Power steps in again, gives him the chance to fix his dress-code violation, and he refuses yet again.

2nd offense? We call the police, mon. More Power shows up.

Kid given another chance to remove it.

Doesn't take it. Police (Power) shows up again.

Takes him away this time.

Apologies - the kid is the end-result of the moral decay in his family unit.

What a waste of time.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
