Following the Boston Marathon bombing last Monday in which pressure cookers were used for the explosion, the cookware giant has decided to temporarily stop selling the items in their Massachusetts stores, including in the Wrentham Outlet and at Legacy Place.

Williams-Sonoma, the specialty retailer of home furnishings and gourmet cookware with over 250 stores in the United States, has pulled pressure cookers from their shelves following the Boston Marathon bombing. The company has over 250 stores in the United States, including the Wrentham Outlets and at Legacy Place in Dedham.

"It's a temporary thing out of respect," said Kent, who is the store manager of the Williams-Sonoma at the Natick Mall. He referred Patch to corporate for further questions.

Pressure cookers will still be available on the Williams-Sonoma website.

Crate & Barrel is still selling pressure cookers in their stores, according to Elizabeth who is the General Manager of the location at the Natick Mall.

She noted that they hadn't sold any pressure cookers recently. Crate & Barrel will also be observing the statewide moment of silence today at 2:50 p.m., and had a floral arrangement set up. Their employees all wore Boston gear to work on Friday.

Macy's referred Patch to their corporate offices for comment.

Ugh, really? Yes, pressure cookers were used in attacks, but this is just overkill.

It could almost be said, if the goal of the attackers was to stop people from cooking delicious meals in a fraction of the time, the terrorists have won... temporarily.

What would Xenu do?

We got ours at Bed Bath and Beyond. We bought out their entire stock.

I loaded up yesterday, got enough for the entire family and the grandkids, not that I have any, but ya never know when the call will come to overthrow the Food Network and we might need all the firepower we can muster.

We need more pressure cookers not less.

In Vermont everyone has a pressure cooker and you never hear of any terrorist bombings there.
