What is going on around here? It's 8:23 AM Eastern time and nobody has started a Saturday thread! The world is falling apart! :clock:

M4E is posting but not slipping any news, so that is sounding like a good thing - hopefully she'll be posting Visa in Hand any day now. :dancing:

I know we can't expect to see Jasman since he's slept through the last two weekends, but Charles, you're ex-military - you should be awake by now! :bonk:

Where is the insult trio? Just because you live in California is no excuse to still be asleep - it's Saturday morning - you have all day to be rude and hateful. What are you doing wasting time sleeping? -_-

Fine, I'll go do my boring research and read another boring source. You guys are not being a very good distraction today! :help:

Liz,:lol: you are so funny.... and again - I don't see how that post was even about you except for the tiniest bit at the end. But then again, everytime we post anything, it's a little bit abt each of us - even if it's just in what we feel for someone else.

Anyhoo, I'm off to work today for a few hours then taking my nephew out shopping for his belated birthday & early Xmas present.

Wish I could ride my scooter, but I will have to bring home laundry and laptop so, not practical today. ;)

Good morning everyone! I think I poted last night that our EAD was finally touched. Good news for us because my husband is so tired of waiting to find a real job for his Master's degree. I'll be having a meeting with someone from the college I will be attending next year I think either Monday or Tuesday, depending on my second jobs schedule. I am working at the bank today until 12, then I go to the 2nd job at 4 so that gives me a few hours to spend with the hubby. I am looking forward to that. Let's see... what else is new... nothing really. Hmmm.... that's kinda sad. I guess my life is rather boring. Oh well, I guess I really shouldn't complain since I am at least alive and breathing. Well I guess I am going to go surf the web a little more. I hope you all hava a good weekend!

Sounds like you need a sidecar for that scooter Noura. Enjoy your day.

Maybe she could get one of those pretty little baskets like we use to have on our bicycles when we were little girls?

Mrs F, what does your hubby have his Masters in? How did your math test go the other night? That was the subject I dreaded most when I went back to college a gazillion years ago (6 1/2) but I think it is somehow a little easier now than I remember it being in high school.

Donna, who wants to clean? Yuck! I need to clean so bad, but this stupid homework is due and with finals in about 3 weeks, I don't have a choice so the dust bunnies can just keep piling up for a few more weeks. I say go shopping - that sounds like way more fun.

I MISS VJ!! I just haven't had time to come on with my new job and I have some serious catching up to do today. I am also working on my graduate school application. After proding by my husband I have decided to start in March for my masters. I told him I wanted him to finish school first but he said "You're too smart, don't worry about me." So we'll see what happens. We're job hunting for him today. He hates the job that he's at now and really wants something else so we're bringing back applications and stopping by a few other places. We also have a box of stuff ready to ship home for his familiy we just have to find a sweater for his mom. Mikhail (our little guy) is starting at a Montessori preschool on Monday and I'm excited for him but sad that when I come home for lunch I won't get a hug and kiss from him :(. Youssef is also starting his ESL classes/ remedial courses at the technical college on Monday. So it will be a busy week for us again - oh yea and we get the keys to our new house on Wednesday! We're going to try to finish moving in by the end of next weekend as our GC interview is a week from Monday! (OMG gasps!) So that's all here in cold Wisconsin - have a great day!

He has a masters in International Business. We met while he was here finishing it. The math test was ok. It was multiple choice and about 10 questions that you had 2 hours to figure out. Of course stupid me couldn't remember a dayum thing from all the math classes in high school. So I was sitting there trying to remember and figure it out. I probably got 2 or 3 questions right by figuring them out, but I think I might have gotten at least half the others correct by process of elimination. so I will either end up being put into the beginners class, or they will try to have me bypass college algebra. I did take college algebra while I was in high school ans passed with the highest grade, but that was over 3 years ago. So I think I need a little refresher course to get me back in the swing of things. We'll see how it goes when I meet with someone this week.

I am waiting for the cable guy to come. Last night I bought a tv and dvd player. WOW have the prices really dropped for a simple TV! I am sooo excited. I haven't had a TV or cable for 3 years now. let's just hope it doesn't interfer with my obsessive USCIS checking and posting on VJ :P

I really like the early morning threads. Much more my speed I think. so many wonderful things happening, moving into a new house SO GREAT! Montasorri School best thing I ever did for my little girl well when she was little 16 now. You are giving your child a very great start, my daughter was so much more advanced then the other children when she started kindigarden, so she was the helper and I thnk that helped her sefl esteem so much and her willingness to help others.

Two more days until interview oh my, I am not usre I am going to be able to keep it together when I am there so good luck and may God bless you with your hearts desire.

I am off to a meeting for my homebased business and then from there to another meeting but i will have 2 hours to shop in San Fransico yeah!!!

Mikhail (our little guy) is starting at a Montessori preschool on Monday

You'll have to keep us posted on how the Montessori preschool goes. I so wanted one of my kids to go to a Montessori school, and actually got my youngest into the magnet here for first grade, but he hated it so I transferred him to another magnet about 2 weeks in. I'm dying to hear how about it from you since I didn't get to experience it as a mom myself.

What are you getting your masters in?

I did take college algebra while I was in high school ans passed with the highest grade, but that was over 3 years ago. So I think I need a little refresher course to get me back in the swing of things. We'll see how it goes when I meet with someone this week.

Wow, if you only had it 3 years ago it should all still be there lurking, just waiting for you to hit the refresh button.

Sonicliz, I noticed you chose St. Patrick's day for your wedding day. What is the significance for you? We have one of the biggest celebrations on that day in the entire US here in Savannah so that just kindof jumped out at me. Just think, if he gets the visa next week you'll have to officially tie the knot a little earlier to beat the 3 month deadline. I hope that won't be too big a disappointment for you. :innocent:

MBP - do you get the Independent Film Channel? They show some really good foreign films.
