YES for the new letter of intent to marry. It should be recently dated preferably close to your interview date and signed. Cannot be faxed or copied. Originally signed. :)

For the drivers license, I don't see why you need it. For what part does the driver's license come in?

Actually, during my interview, they did not ask for the new letters of intent. I still have them in my files and I am now here in USA. But just ask your fiance to send you an updated one just in case. Good luck! :)

Don't need a copy of your DL.

The embassy letter states they want to see evidence of "intent to marry", that is what the letters show.

Have everything that is listed in the embassy requirements letter and you will be fine.

http://photos.state....on_rtf2_002.pdf

Excerpt from letter:

k. EVIDENCE OF A GENUINE ENGAGEMENT. You must be prepared to prove to the consular officer that you have a genuine relationship with your petitioner and a clear intention to marry within 90 days of admission into the U.S. In the past, successful applicants have submitted photographs, letters, e-mails, phone records, bank records, and remittance records as evidence supporting their relationships and intent to marry.

The embassy did not ask for our Letters of Intent either, still have them in a folder somewhere. Just the same they do ask for evidence of intent to marry in the requirements letter, so in this case better safe than sorry.

The embassy didn't ask us for anything; not even pictures. It was a shock really, but I(the USC) did attend as well. Still, what they ask for is at their discretion. We brought everything we could think of related to what was asked for in the instructions. We had a couple arm loads of evidence that wasn't used, and the letters of intent were included. The point being that yes, you really need to bring the letter of intent. Whether it is looked at or not along with anything else you bring, that is determined by variables that are really unforeseen until it is done. Just be prepared.
