Hi everyone,

I am filing AOS from F1; my wife is USC. We will be using a joint sponsor. Our joint sponsor is using her "household income" as she is unemployed. Her husband is employed and makes sufficient income for her, and enough to sponsor me (they have no dependents). She (sponsor) is filling out I-864 as the "only joint sponsor" and having her and her husband fill out form I-864a to show that she has his approval to use the household income to sponsor.

Does that sound like the correct way to proceed? Of course my USC wife will also include a I-864 as the petitioner.

Just want to make sure. Hoping to file soon (who isn't?!).

Thanks a million,
