I've been lucky thus far and not had to make any special trips for my bangles. It just so happened that whenever they broke, I was in India. But, I had a recent mishap and broke them all off my wrist. I feel so naked.

I've been searching all day online. There's only one store in the Boston area that I found that would do the trick. I've also seen the beachcombersbazaar, but I want more! Where do you all get your glass bangles?

we get friends and family to send ours to us......there are five women in my family that use bangles so purchasing on line is very expensive compared to the cost in india or pakistan

I suggest make a new buddy in Houston.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I'm quickly thinking that this is going to be my only option. I just get scared of paying for them then having them all break in shipping or having India Post decide they just don't wanna deliver it!

Yeah, I have a trip to Texas coming up soon, so, I was thinking that I would just gather all the information I can while I'm there. Ugh.

Search the local Indian stores, they usually carries it.

This would be a good idea if there were Indian stores in my area. Unfortunately, there's not a huge population, therefore not a huge need for a bunch of stores. The closest I can get is to New Jersey.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Why not do research, prior to the trip ? For example, contact some groups in Houston and inquire.

When I wrote of 'friends in Houston' - I really meant that. Don't have friends in Houston? Aiyo - time to make friends that live in Houston, this week.

Houston has a huge wholesale market...

Oh, yes, I'm going there to visit some Indian friends of mine. I figured they can take me around when I'm there. I didn't mention that. I need to start a market up here!

I've seen someone selling them in Revere at the flea market but you never know when she will be there. I got some nice clothing from India from her as well.

I checked Etsy and found nothing but Ebay has some relatively cheap. ($14)
