Include DS-230 receipt in IV packet?

Hey folks, I feel dumb but I have a very little question. I paid my IV fee bill and I don't know where I saw the instruction that I must include the receipt in the IV package I send. I know I saw it somewhere. I can't find that instruction anymore. I know to use the bar coded cover sheet, but I'm not sure whether it is really even necessary to put the receipt in the package too. Is it?

Also, the invoice status is still showing IN PROGRESS until the debit clears my bank on Monday. I want to ship the IV package off Monday morning. If I do have to print the receipt and send it in the package, does it matter whether it says IN PROGRESS or PAID?

You only need the bar coded cover sheet and you can send it while the IV bill is in progress because it will take a few days to show paid. I don't think you need the IV receipt anywhere.

Yeah, like Niki said, you don't need to send the receipt. I had read somewhere before that you should include it, but I didn't, and got through NVC just fine. good.gif

Not sure how DCF works. Try the DCF forum.

Then ask somebody over there? This forum isn't for DCF, it's for people who file their I-130 through a lockbox, so I doubt many people would know about DCF procedures. Go to the link I posted and ask your question over there.
